As many of you are aware, we are heartbroken to share that Seth Greathouse has passed at an impossibly young age. Although Seth’s tenure in Chamberlain was brief, his impact on our family and those who were fortunate enough to see him play was profound. Seth admittedly joined us on bass at a point of soul-searching in the trajectory of the band, but nevertheless he injected his heart and selfless spirit into everything we did. Exit 263 was a collection of demos, and at the time the band never approved of its release. But in hindsight we’re grateful those songs are out there, largely because Seth performs beautifully on all of them (he co-wrote the song Chivalry as well). He wasn’t the flashiest of players, but the notes he did play were impactful and they mattered. That’s how Seth carried himself…he was quiet and reserved, but when he spoke up he had something to say, and we all listened. We’ll miss his intelligence, kindness, humor and humility. If you have stories to share please post them here. RIP Seth Corbin Greathouse (1973-2026)
