Princess Diana spent her holiday in St. Tropez from July 11–20, 1997, with her sons William and Harry at the luxurious Castle St. Therese villa, owned by Dodi Al-Fayed’s family. During the trip, she enjoyed yacht outings, the beach, and fun in the sea with her children, and was also photographed dancing with Dodi. The holiday drew heavy paparazzi attention, and her growing closeness with Dodi became widely publicized. This vacation is often seen as the beginning of their relationship and was one of Diana’s last summer holidays before her tragic death in August 1997.
