Palms Station- Ocean Full Of Tears-

The whole world is reeling/And I’ve lost what to believe in,” sings Palms Station’s Hillel Tigay in “Touch the Stars,” with the inspirational voice of the cantor he is, alongside the pop songwriting acumen of his Beatles roots. The songs on the band’s new album, “Ocean Full of Tears,” were written during a family holiday in Mexico, and they capture that magical landscape with a longing to cut through the chaos of this troubled modern world, best expressed in the stirring live anthem, “Alive,” featuring Tears for Fears’ Curt Smith, which has become a powerful communal prayer in his own congregation.

Beautiful hook-filled, dreamy jangle rock that should appeal to fans of everyone from the Beatles to the Cure & The Church.

Eljuri- Karma (Single)-

The breezy Brazilian samba rhythms of Cecilia Villar Eljuri's new single KARMA are irresistibly and infectiously danceable, a perfect sound for summer – but the bright vocals, beats, and rich instrumentation belie the actual gravity of its message. The song — from one of the most boldly outspoken immigrant voices in the U.S. today — could not be more timely as an urgent response to the escalating violence, misguided hyperbolic uber-nationalism, and systemic oppression unfolding in America – as well as the instability shaking the globe in these deeply dark, chaotic, and crisis-ridden times. The lyrics, in Spanish, deliver a grim admonition that the crossing of moral lines will inevitably lead to inescapable retribution, with the refrain, “The soul is not for sale,” proclaiming a relentless insistence on justice and the paramount pricelessness of decency and integrity.

Sonova returns with their sophomore release, ‘Frequent Flyer’, a smorgasbord of funk, soul, jazz, downtempo, reggae, bossa nova, dub and electronica. Canadian producer and remixer, Andrew McPherson has crafted a 9-song collection that puts groove at its centre, lifting spirits no matter what their favourite vibe is. Deeply funky grooves, prowling bass lines and Moog synths anchor a sprawling musical banquet that takes us back to the downtempo scene of the 90’s that brought us the jazz-infused sounds of St. Germain, the blunted out beats of Kruder + Dorfmeister and the trippy atmospherics of Air. Eljuri- "La Vida" (Single)-

In these times of political turbulence and mounting intolerance and oppression, Eljuri – Cecilia Villar Eljuri – issues an urgent call for resistance and empowerment with “La Vida,” the first single from her forthcoming new album. A New Yorker, an immigrant Latina born in Ecuador to Spanish and Lebanese parents, a singer, composer, guitarist, and social activist – or "artivist," as she describes herself – her greatest passions are songwriting and activism, standing strong as a conduit for the voices of those she encounters while touring internationally with her NYC-based trio.

“La Vida” is the first single from Eljuri’s forthcoming new album, Asi es el Mundo (due out on August 22); the song implores listeners to break free from limitations and become a force of nature. “Life escapes us, life is fleeting,” she sings in Spanish. Live fully, act decisively, embracing strength and resisting adversity and authoritarianism: these are the themes of this funky, danceable, guitar-driven anthem to righteous empowerment – and defiance.

Manika’s music transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, resonating with audiences worldwide through universal themes of peace, love, and spirituality. Her voice, often described as soul-stirring, carries the essence of Sikh devotional music while incorporating innovative elements that make Kirtan accessible to a broader audience.

Manika Kaur has worked with renowned producers and musicians, including Martin 'Youth' Glover, Tj Singh, and Karsh Kale, to create her signature sound.

Her latest album, Devocean features innovative arrangements of devotional music from around the world and is produced by Martin Glover, known for his seminal band Killing Joke, as well as for his production work for Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, The Orb, The Verve, Crowded House and many more.

With this beautiful new record, she continues to evolve as an artist, pushing the boundaries of devotional music.

Delia Derbyshire Appreciation Society- Dubby Signal Chain EP

The Dubby Signal Chain EP, is the last appetizer, before the early June release of Delia Derbyshire Appreciation Society's third full length album, Psychedelia.

Including the original version from the upcoming album, the EP is also chock full of amazing remixes that cover many styles and genres, including a wonderful Electro-Dub mix from Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins, (under his International Observer moniker), as well as a stomping progressive dub-house mix from modular synth whiz Tulpa, South Asian Ambient Electronica from label-mates Bombay Dub Orchestra, gorgeous textural ambience from Balance Engineer & a hard to categorize but easy to love mix from Andrew Mcpherson's Eccodek project.

Full Indian- American Ghazal

Full Indian is a lovely new project from musician & acclaimed painter, Sanjay Vora.

Sanjay says: This music is rooted in the textures of cultural memory — shaped by the rhythms of childhood, the distances of migration, and the soft inheritances passed down between generations. It draws from tradition without being bound to it, allowing melody and silence to hold what words sometimes cannot. I composed these pieces as an offering — to where I come from, and to where I find myself now. In honoring the past, American Ghazal reaches toward connection, not conclusion.
