Did bold and outspoken Christian actress Letitia Wright, perhaps best known for her role as Shuri in Marvel’s Black Panther franchise, announce her same-sex marriage to a fellow le***an? 🧵

Earlier this week, a woman named Angel Vicki () shared images of herself and Letitia together at the press night for The Story, a stage show at the National Theatre that Wright is starring in, with the caption: “Happy Press Night! I’m beyond proud of you.”

On account of the intimate and familiar nature of the pictures, a quick perusal of Vicki’s since-deleted account revealed that her profile reads “married,” with the LGBTQ flag and the acronym WLW nearby (women loving women). Notably, her account contained more casual pictures of her and Wright together.

At the same time, a throwaway account purporting to be Letitia's commented on the original post.

Despite a post from the Blackish Press that has received over a million views insisting the two are married, neither Wright nor her spokesperson has publicly confirmed the relationship.

Letitia's faith has been featured in dozens of major Christian papers and organisations. She said in 2021:

"Even now I'm going through a new transformative stage of my life with understanding who I am, but with God you can really just get through these situations. It's been beautiful to have my faith in Jesus, which is worth more than anything.|

"I've had people tell me, 'Hey, you should stop talking about Jesus.' But there will always be pressures to keep things private that the world may not agree with. And I'm not trying to force anything on anyone. I'm sharing my truth because I probably wouldn't be alive right now if it wasn't for Jesus, I probably wouldn't have been able to cope.

And if someone saves you and brings light and love to your life, you want to share that. You don't want to hide it."
