📚✏️ Back to School: The Bittersweet Season

There’s something about this time of year…
New notebooks, sharpened pencils, fresh sneakers, and a little bit of nervous energy in the air.

For some of us, it means walking our kids to the bus stop with hugs and reminders.
For others, it means clearing off the kitchen table, pulling out the lesson plans, and diving back into homeschooling life.

Either way, it’s a season of change.
A mix of excitement for fresh beginnings… and those little tugs on the heart when we realize they’re growing faster than we ever imagined.

Here’s to early mornings, new friends, endless questions, and the beautiful journey of learning—whether it happens in a classroom or at the kitchen table. ❤️

What’s your favorite (or least favorite 😉) part of back-to-school season?

(Our children have grown and flown the coop, but I watch the school bus go down our street most mornings. Hearing it brings back memories of when we did have kids at home.)

It's a rainy Sunday morning here! I opened the back door with the screen closed and listened to a gentle thunder and the rain. There is a freshness in the air like a fresh load of laundry off the outdoor clothesline. Today is much cooler than it has been. One of those days you just to curl up with a good book!

Cheesy Tortellini Bake 💛🍽️

Last night’s dinner was one of those simple, satisfying meals that just feels like home. I browned up and seasoned some ground beef, with onion and garlic, poured in a jar of marinara, added some cream cheese and let that melt and blend in, then stirred in the cheese tortellini, sprinkled it with mozzarella, and baked it until golden and bubbly.

Nothing fancy — just real food, made with love.

🧄 You could easily toss in some chopped spinach, or whatever veggies you like to sneak in.
🫶 A quick salad on the side and dinner was done.

Made for an easy Monday night dinner. ✨
