They have done this by creating divisions among us. They have done this by exploiting you, the consumer. They have done this by simply declaring metal, punk, hardcore, and virtually every subgenre therein “dead” at one point or another while simultaneously offering a new, neatly packaged trend down our collective throats. Buffalo’s 𝕮𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖞 𝕰𝖈𝖍𝖔 have unveiled their new single, Trouble with Demons, the latest offering from their upcoming debut full-length Civitas Lacrimarum (“City of Tears”), due August 21st via Seeing Red Records.

Blending blackened deathrock, gothic post-punk, occult rock, and metallic aggression into their self-described “Haunt ‘n’ Roll” sound, Cemetery Echo continue to establish themselves as one of the most distinctive dark alternative acts emerging from the Northeast underground.

While previous single Cannibalistic Underground Nihilist Teens served as a rallying cry for underground rebellion, Trouble with Demons explores a more personal darkness. The track examines addiction, trauma, fear, and the survival mechanisms we develop to cope with them, ultimately transforming inner struggle into an anthem of acceptance and empowerment.

The band comments:
“Trouble with Demons is an anthem for anyone who carries a shadow whether born from the grip of addiction, the aftermath of trauma and abuse, or systemic manifestations. It’s about confronting your dark side and learning to harness chaotic energy as a catalyst for growth. You don’t conquer your demons by denying they exist, you say ‘Hell Yeah’ and give them sunglasses.”
