In a recent roundtable of Galatta Plus, Gautham Menon revealed that he is part of Thalapathy 67. Lokesh Kanagaraj was also part of the discussion. When Gautham was asked if he is part of the films of any members in the roundtable, the filmmaker confirmed that he is playing a role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next.

Gautham pointed at Lokesh and said, “I am in his film. I saw him now and since he gave me his nod to divulge this, I’m confirming it here now.” The film in question is obviously Thalapathy 67, which is the second collaboration of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Thalapathy 67 is also rumoured to be part of Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (which has Kaithi and Vikram). However, Lokesh has remained tight-lipped about it.

According to another set of reports doing rounds, the Master actor has also shot a promotional video for Thalapathy 67. The clip is expected to be released along with the film's announcement.

Apart from the protagonist, Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil will also reportedly be a part of his promotional video.On the other hand,it has been exclusively learned that Thalapathy Vijay will commence filming for the untitled drama by January next year in 2023. A source close to the development revealed, “Lokesh Kanagaraj has finalised the script and has begun pre-production work on Thalapathy 67. A major portion of the movie will be shot in Kashmir, recce for which was done recently. The initial plan was to shoot the film in Munnar, but they have now zeroed down on Kashmir."

In the recent Filmmakers' Adda conducted by popular online media Film Companion, Kamal Haasan and director Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed that there will be more installments in LCU, including the Vikram sequel which has been titled Vikram 2, and Karthi's Kaithi 2. Interestingly, when host Anupama Chopra asked Lokesh if we can expect a film on Rolex, the character played by Suriya, the young filmmaker confirmed it is also on cards.

For the uninitiated, Suriya made a cameo appearance in Vikram in the role of Rolex, the boss of lead antagonist Sandhanam, played by Vijay Sethupathi. The National award-winning actor's never-seen-before avatar as the cold-blooded don completely won the hearts of audiences. The tail end of Vikram suggested that the next face-off is going to be between the central character, played by Kamal Haasan, and Suriya's Rolex.

EXCLUSIVE : Chilla Chilla, the first song from Ajith Kumar starrer Thunivu to be out on Dec 9.

Ajith Kumar's upcoming film Thunivu directed by H Vinoth is set to hit the screens during Pongal 2023. The makers of the film have almost wrapped up the shoot of the much-awaited film and are gearing up to release the film's first song 'Chilla Chilla'. It is exclusively learnt, the first song Chilla Chilla sung by Anirudh in Ghibran's music will be out on December 9."Ajith will be seen in a massy avatar in the first song, a fast-paced dance number. It will also feature the lyric writer Vaisagh along with Ajith," reveals a source close to the development. Thunivu, the 61st film of Ajith is an action-thriller and will see the actor play a character with grey shades. The post-production work is going on in full swing.

The makers of Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna starrer family drama Varisu, have unveiled the Telugu version of the first track from the film, Ranjithame. The peppy tune and the sizzling chemistry between the lead pair are the highlights of this upbeat number. As you might remember the Tamil version of the track released earlier was a massive hit among viewers. The song has been composed by S Thaman, while Ramajogayya Sastry has penned its lyrics. Anurag Kulkarni and Manasi have crooned the single.The song undoubtedly will top the music charts in Telugu, like in Tamil for the energetic composition, superb singing, and graceful dances.

Rashmika Mandanna looks stunning and the chemistry of the lead pair is amazing.Sri Venkateswara Creations is bankrolling the project, in association with PVP Cinema.The high-budget entertainer is slated for Sankranthi release.

Vijay’s Varisu is in trouble as the Animal Welfare Board of India has issued a show cause notice to its producers Venkateswara Creations for using five elephants in the film without seeking proper pre-shoot permission from the board. The board has termed the shooting ‘illegal’ and a ‘violation of Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2001’.

“The Board has received a complaint regarding illegal shooting of animals by M/s Venkateswara Creations using Elephants-5 without the pre-shoot permission from the Animal Welfare Board of India in Tamil Film “Varisu”, which is the violation of Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2001 (as amended in 2002). The Board has not received the Pre-shoot application from you for Tamil Film “Varisu” till date (sic),” the official statement of the board read.Varisu makers are yet to respond or comment about the board’s show cause notice.
