Hi everybody! I’m Josephine Links, the director of WE ALL BLEED RED. It’s a film about the work of MARTIN SCHOELLER, who’s one of the most important contemporary portrait photographers.

The message of his work – and our film – is as simple as it is urgent: Despite our differences, as humans we are so much more alike than we think.

I’m super excited to have our world premiere next week at the DOC NYC (Nov 16th, 4:30pm at the IFC). Martin Schoeller, me and members of our team will be present – and I hope to see many of you, too!

Festivalnews ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ellbogen wird bei Perspektiven - Filmfestival für Menschenrechte in Chemnitz gezeigt.
🥁❗️
Die neunköpfige Jury, bestehend aus Jugendlichen im Alter von 14 bis 17 Jahren, zeigt sich tief beeindruckt von „Ellbogen“. Der Film sei „extrem realitätsnah“ und spiegelte für die Jury die Herausforderungen junger Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund wider. Besonders berührte sie das Thema Integration, das durch viele Hürden erschwert wird.Die Protagonistin wurde von den jungen Frauen der Jury als stark und empowernd wahrgenommen.

👋 PERSPEKTIVEN ist Bestandteil des Projekts “zum beiSPIEL:MENSCHENRECHTE!” aus dem Kulturhaus Arthur in Chemnitz und startete begleitet durch das Programm neue unentd_ckte narrative des ASA-FF e.V..
Ziel des Projekts ist es, Kindern und Jugendlichen in Workshops durch altersgerechte Methoden Menschen- sowie Kinderrechte zu vermitteln und dadurch Vorurteile abzubauen. In einer immer älter werdenden Gesellschaft soll mit dieses Formats besonders jungen Menschen Raum für ihre Interessen und Sichtweisen geben werden. Umgesetzt wird dies durch die Jugendfilmjury. Sie unterstützt bei der Gestaltung des Festivals und entscheidet, welche Filme gezeigt werden, moderieren die Nachgespräche. 🫶

Das Festival beginnt am 7.11. mit einem super Programm. Geht hin!
