6 years ago today, I would chase the Reading & Northern 425 for the last time in 2019. This was my favorite day of the Christmas Trains in 2019. 425, was wearing a Frisco Longbell 3 Chime, and the weather was cold enough for a better steam show the week prior. Anyhow, 425 put on a great show, and minus the weather during the second excursion, I had fun chasing the engine on this stretch of the line. Minus the ride home that night, that was a fun trip. Looking back at these 425 memories makes me miss the engine. I look forward to its return!

5 years ago, yesterday & Today, I would end 2020 at the Strasburg Railroad. They were running their Christmas Trains, with 89 being on the half hour, and 90 being on the hour if memory serves correctly. I actually began filming the afternoon before, after beating 90 to the Red Caboose Motel. That being said, this was one of my favorite visits to the railroad in 2020. Looking back on it, this was probably one of my favorite Christmas excursions. One of these days, I will make it back to the railroad for these excursions.

5 years ago today, I went to the Wilmington & Western Railroad for the first time ever. The reason was to finally see the line, and film the Veterans Engine, 58. This engine got higher on my list that year after watching the 4th of July run. This day, they were running Santa Claus Express trains. These would go as far as Ashland. This would be my first of only two visits to the Railroad. After the train got to Ashland, I drove north to Strasburg to end the year.

The first weekend of December, Pere Marquette 1225, would debut for the 2025 North Pole Express season. With snow on the ground it made for the perfect weekend to film the real polar express as it operates from Owosso to Ashley Michigan. Enjoy and hope you all have a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays. Christmas is a magical time of year—snow begins to fall, lights go up, Christmas trees glow, and the holiday spirit fills the air. For many, this season also...

NORTH FREEDOM, Wis. — The Mid-Continent Railway Museum, after nearly 30 years of work, has completed a successful test firing of former Chicago & North Western R1 4-6-0 No. 1385. The locomotive now moves into the final phases of its restoration, with plans to have No. 1385 operational by summer 20...

The other star of the video this week, will be of PRLX 57, an GP40-2WH locomotive built by EMD in 1966. Here just south of Elise on Sunday 57 leads the train back south to Owosso. Just at the other end of the train 1225 is giving a good smoke show. It was neat being able to see this engine, tow the last 611 run out of Goshen, down south, to see it again up North. This is probably one of my favorite diesels.

9 years ago today & tomorrow, we would end our 2016 season with the Viscose Company 6. It would be operating Santa Express excursions memory serves correctly, these were announced only a few weeks Prior. This would be the last video produced with the Original three members of the Channel. These excursions would operate out of Hamburg Depot, and 6 would shove the train all the way past water valley. Saturday had the better weather, with Sunday snow would be more. That being said, this was some of favorite video in our early years. This was the first snow trains we filmed. Looking back at these photos brings back memories. Hard to believe this was already 9 years ago.

Editing has begun, on this week's video, of the Pere Marquette 1225: North Pole Express 2025 (4K). I am hoping to have the video up by Friday afternoon, but we shall see. Here last Saturday, 1225 led the train by the former Woodward Factory, at Blue hour bound for Ashley with the second North Pole Express of the day. Steam Railroading Institute
