BIG NEWS: Hormel Foods Corp. announced last week a corporate restructuring that will eliminate about 250 office-based positions.

The food manufacturing giant, which owns brands that include Planter’s, Jennie-O, and Spam, stated in a news release that the restructuring is “designed to thoughtfully align resources with the organization’s strategic priorities, support future growth and strengthen the overall business.”

Hormel Foods Corp. is cutting about 250 office-based roles and is redirecting resources toward technology and food safety.
