The story of Peter and Cornelius in the King James Version (KJV) Bible is found in Acts 10:1-48. This chapter details Cornelius, a centurion in Caesarea, receiving a vision from God, and Peter’s vision of a sheet with unclean animals, leading to Peter’s visit to Cornelius’ household. It culminates in the Gentiles receiving the Holy Spirit and being baptized. --- NOTICE what this says. "Those who claim faith alone will save them are trusting to a rope of sand; for faith is strengthened and made perfect by works only."

There is nothing in us that can make us overcome in the battle of the Lord's army except that we put on the whole armour of God. Study Ephesians 6. Nothing can avail but the orders given us by our Captain, the Lord of Hosts. We must exercise total faith and reliance upon Jesus and His strength. Then we can be more than conquerors.

Did you know that heeding the counsel (taking this counsel) of the True Witness (Jesus) is truly a SALVATIONAL ISSUE? It is! I read a few years ago that "IF we have these three things, we will have abundant entrance into heaven" - from Sister White. I started studying everything I could find on these 3 items and discovered she was absolutely correct! The answers are ALL found in the Spirit of Prophecy and are Biblically sound. Do you understand what this counsel is and how to enact it in your life? Let's talk in the comments below. This is EXTREMELY important.

🟦 The Sixth to the Ninth Hour of the Crucifixion 12 pm - 3 pm. >>>> (Did you know this?) 🤔

For three hours Christ hung upon the cross, looked upon by thousands. Thousands heard and saw the reviling of the priests and rulers; they heard the challenge, “Come down from the cross, and we will believe in thee,” and the taunt, “He saved others; himself he cannot save.” [Matthew 27:42.]

“And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.” [Mark 15:33.]

Not only did the darkness enshroud the immediate location where the cross stood: “there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.”

God dwelleth in the thick darkness; He hides His glory from human eyes. The Father with His heavenly angels were enclosed in that thick darkness. God was close beside His Son, though not manifesting Himself to Him or to any human being. Had one ray of His glory and power penetrated the thick cloud that enveloped Him, every spectator would have been extinguished.

And in that thick darkness God hid from prying eyes the last human agony of His Son.

He clothed Nature in sackcloth that she might not look upon her suffering, dying Author in His last humiliation.

📖 Mat 21:19 **** THE BARREN FIG TREE ****
" And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. "

The judgment pronounced upon the barren fig-tree not only symbolizes the sentence passed upon the Jews, but is also applicable to the professed Christians of our time, who have become formal, selfish, boasting and hypocritical. Many who profess godliness stand before the world like the barren fig-tree, displaying pretentious leaves but utterly devoid of fruit. They go through the form of worship, yet have not repentance and faith. In the doom of the fig-tree Christ demonstrated how hateful in his eyes are hypocrisy and hollow pretense. Ever pitiful to the truly penitent, ever ready to receive them and to heal their maladies, he thus evidenced that the open sinner is in a more favorable condition before God than the Christian who bears no fruit to his glory. 3SP 19.2
