Join us for an unforgettable journey as we screen at Marché du Cannes SFC and Diversity in Cannes (Virtual showcase)! After that, we’re off to Brooklyn, followed by the New Media Film Festival in LA, and finally back to the Manhattan Film Festival NYC! ✈️🌆

1. Our fabulous film made it into 🎬 And can we talk about that barn location for the comedy block? Had to snap a pic! 📸

2. Shoutout to all the amazing ladies who had their films screened at Poppy Jasper this year! Seriously, such incredible talent! 🌟

3 & 4 - I’m just here soaking in those glorious sunset vibes. Sunsets and the Lord’s beauty? Yes, please! 😜🌅

5. was definitely a highlight of this trip. What a lovely human and creative mastermind! ❤️✨

6. Fit check, because honestly, who would I be without these killer outfits? 🔥💁‍♀️

11 & 12 - Went with our fabulous lead actress , and my heart couldn’t be happier! ❤️😩

13. The pure joy of receiving immediate feedback for our film right after screening? Love it! ❤️

14. Had a sweet chat with one of the government officials (I think? 🙃). Help me out here—someone please remind me of his name, lol! But seriously, I appreciate all the feedback!

15. Loving all the ongoing discussions about how relatable our film is! 😩🔥🔥❤️

Shooting PEGGY was an unforgettable experience—but that experience would not exist without my TEAM. My entire team. Truly.

I was a little late to the party—but it was my first time attending Sundance in person, and wow… what a festival.

There’s truly no way to prepare for the power of those screenings, the brilliance of the conversations, and the incredible people we’re all connected by through film. The energy was electric. I returned home feeling empowered, inspired, and more motivated than ever to keep pushing forward.

To the volunteers and programmers at —you are the real MVPs. Thank you for holding space for stories and storytellers.

To the old friends I ran into—cheers.

To the new friends—welcome into my creative journey as we continue sharing our passion and lifting each other up.

To the panels: thank you for the wisdom.

To the unforgettable parties and meetings: thank you for the warmth and generosity.

OCTOBER: seasoned just right, with a dash of fabulousness! 🎉✨

First off, major thank you to God for all the doors that swung wide open this month! From the tail end of my event to kicking off some exciting new adventures, let’s dive into the highlights!

1. What Happens Now? strutting its stuff at , and guess what? I got nominated! 🎬💃 This journey has been nothing short of validating. And of course, I brought my ride-or-die _ along—can we talk about us looking like the freshest baked goods out there? 😍💕

2. Had a fabulous time catching up with the unstoppable on his directorial debut. Let’s be real—the film is nothing short of fire! 🔥 What made it even cooler? Meeting his aunty who showed up in the same outfit as me! Things took a turn when Akinola realized I’m basically his sister now. Family reunion vibes all around! 😂

3. Hosted a segment of the Fearless Women Conference with where we unloaded some truth bombs! 💥 We delved into the art of being unapologetically YOU. Just remember: sip from the well you want to drink from, okay? Keep your eyes on God, fam, and the grind! Periodt. 💅🏽

4. Oh, and the screening of What Happens Now? at felt like a family reunion—everyone knew everyone, and the vibes were just chef’s kiss! I met with the one and only sexiest legend 💕😍

🎉✨ Oh, what a beautiful day it is ALREADY!

Lord has been to me!!! It’s like God looks at me and says, “You’re my favorite!” The love I feel is so overwhelming that I can’t help but dance with joy! 💃❤️

Through this journey, I’ve learned two invaluable lessons: I am deeply LOVED, and I am so much MORE than I ever realized! God continues to embrace me, coming back to the “one” even in my messy moments. It’s truly heartwarming to know that my worth is rooted in Jesus, and without Him, I’m like a cupcake without frosting—sweet but not complete! 🧁✨

Cheers to all the wonderful years that have shaped me, and here’s to MORE excitement in this new chapter ahead! I’m not walking this path alone—I’m a girl of ONE, supported by the ONE🙏

Overflowing with Joy … It’s hard to encapsulate the sheer brilliance of my experiences at , but let me just say, this film festival has truly been one of the highlights of my journey! Every eye was captivated by the thoughtfulness behind the carefully curated film selections; each one a masterpiece. The guest speakers inspired us, the island’s beauty took our breath away, and the friendships forged are memories I will cherish forever. A heartfelt thank you to for honoring What Happens Now? among the 60 outstanding selections from over 800 submissions. We are immensely grateful!

To my incredible cast and friends— you all are nothing short of amazing! Your creativity shines brightly, and I deeply appreciate your trust in sharing your talents with me.
