MASTERPIECE OF PEACE IN BARINGO

Truly as a society that is founded on rich diversity; multiculturalism and desired heritage;
community of people with resilience and great values;
We have every moment to be proud of those great components of treasured values that no currency can buy on earth !!
Deficiency comes when we see our own brothers killing their colleagues, maiming fellow beings, destroying properties and droving our the livelihoods in the name of contemporary banditry and commercialised culture.
Tears of pain trickles down our people,
Feelings of hate piles up,
Drama of guns discomforts,
Horror trends across the vast valleys of Baringo.
But Honestly, why so ?
As a community we have the hope and future despite the trials and tribulations at hand.
We have the responsibility to act and ensure that inhumane acts do not happen again in our matrimony ;
We have spiritual role that we should protect humanity irrespective of the clan, Community, colour, status .... and that our difference and uniqueness should be the contexts to unite us;
We have the conscience that dictates that our matrimonial jurisdiction remains with dignity, love, respect for humanity and moral integrity;
We have the national concern that we should have to be the beacons of hope, ambassadors of love, custodians of peace and true defenders of humanity and all founded in the treasures and wishes of the Almighty God;
We have every reason to ensure that Peace remain unquestionable component of our societal norm ;
Fellow Beings, Sustainable Peace should be the Supreme Norm of Norms. And when this doctrinal concept is embraced in an holistic framework....................
Our people will live in peace
Our people will live in hope
Our people will live in unity
Our people will live in tolerance
Our people will live in dignity
Our people will live in humanity
Our people will live in understanding
Our people will live in posterity
That could be a dream to you but to me it is a reality.
My vision and consciences alludes to me that we are on pathway to the prospects of sustainable peace in our great land, our Motherland...
Baringo County.
Fellow County Men and Women, Great sons and daughters of Baringo;
BELIEVE ME THAT;
From the hills of Kabarnet and to the showers of lake Baringo, Lake Kapnarok, Lake 94, the great people of Baringo shall have a reason to celebrate peace..... Divine peace;
From the Highlands of Kabartonjo and Mochongoi to the lowlands of Barwessa, Loruk, Barbello, Kollowa, Tangulbei, Tirioko, Silale, and all the way to Amaya... the true Ambassadors of peace shall emerge and preach the message of hope and peace;
Down the valleys of the Wider Kerio I have strong believe that the sounds of guns shall be replaced with the musical and Tonal sounds of intercommunity Cultural extravaganza that aims at promoting peace, love and unity among the Tugens, Marakwets, Ilchamus and Pokots;
In the silent streams of Kerio Valley, as it with its water sources trickles water down the stream without seeking a water bill or any reciprocity of any nature, passes through the traditional territorial bases of Tugen, Marakwet, Keiyo, Pokot all the way to Turkana and beyond,.... the streams of natural peace and hope shall be emulated from the generous conduct of River Kerio.
Honestly, If River Kerio has never been bias to any community, why then we as humanity build hate against ourselves.THAT SHOULD STOP, WE DEMAND PEACE.
In our urban Centers of Kabarnet, Kabartonjo, Marigat, Tangulbei, Mogotio and Eldama Ravine, Elitist Community shall be driven on an agenda of one people one County;
In the County Assembly of Baringo distribution of resources and values shall be founded on honour of equity and equality;
In the disturbed and aggressive areas of Tiaty, with its ethnocentric populace, illegally owning guns and enhancing hostility against their humble and resilient friends, One day the power of the pen shall outshine the dominating barbaric power of a combined power of a gun and sword.
May the enmity of our people Rest in Hell
May peace amongst Baringonians prevail.
In PEACE we shall realise UNITY,
In UNITY we shall realise LOVE,
In LOVE we shall realise HUMANITY, In HUMANITY we shall realise DEVELOPMENT, In DEVELOPMENT We shall realise HOPE.
Therefore,
May Peace Prevail in Baringo.
