The Philippines has endured countless typhoons, but a recent super typhoon has profoundly changed the Filipino spirit. While it caused immense damage to properties, the most significant change lies in the survivors. Haven't you noticed how most have now become passionate advocates for nature? They are determined to protect the country's first line of defense—the Sierra Madre mountain range, to be specific.

They have truly recognized the protective power of Mother Nature, but perhaps the most powerful shift is this: MANY HAVE LEARNED TO PRAY AND HAVE FOUND THEIR FAITH STRENGTHENED IN EVERY SITUATION. They have discovered a spiritual anchor, realizing that there is always a deeper reason in every trial.

Let us not wait until it is too late to act on both our environmental and spiritual commitments.....KEEP SAFE EVERYONE!

The painful dilemma of "To Stay and Struggle, or To Leave and Live" forces parents worldwide to make an agonizing trade-off between a child's financial future and their emotional well-being.

If they stay and struggle, the family is physically together, but the constant stress of poverty can make the parent emotionally absent, teaching the child that life is a battle for survival and potentially limiting their aspirations out of guilt.

If they leave and live by migrating for work, they provide financial security, but the physical absence creates a profound emotional void, leading to feelings of abandonment, anxiety, and a fracturing of familial bonds. In either choice, the family pays a heavy toll—either in lost opportunities and crushing worry, or in lost time and emotional connection—making the decision less about being a good or bad parent, and more about navigating an impossible split between financial necessity and emotional availability.

What level of financial stability finally outweighs the fundamental cost of a parent's physical absence?

For the parent who stays: Does the love you give combat the fear your children absorb?

For the parent who leaves: Can money ever fully compensate for the lost milestones?

Isaiah said in Chapter 60, “The least of you will become one thousand. The smallest, a mighty nation.” This is talking about increase, abundance. God exceeding our expectations. But it doesn’t say this will happen over the course of a lifetime through normal growth, ordinary promotion. It goes on to say, “When it’s your time, I will do this quickly.” God is saying, “I have these moments that I’ve ordained for you where I’m going to quickly make things happen.” You can’t reach your destiny with just ordinary breaks, gradual promotion, usual increase. So God says, "At the right time, if you’ll just keep being faithful, keep putting Me first place, you’re going to come into these acceleration moments, where like Elijah, you’ll look up and say, 'Wow, things happened fast. There were no clouds in the sky. My assistant just told me six times, then out of nowhere, there was an abundance of rain.'” God will take you from drought to a downpour in a moment’s time.

A Parent's Wish

As a parent, it's not an easy task or job. We have to work, we have to wake up early, and we have to go to work even when we're tired or sick—because we need to earn money for our family, especially for our children. But we never complain. We don’t tell our children about the hardships we face, because we don’t want them to feel the weight of the struggles their parents are going through.

Every day, a parent’s reward is to see their children's smiles, to hear their laughter—even if only through video calls or photos. We cherish every opportunity to know what they’re doing, to be involved in their lives, in everything they do.

But in this world of AI and technology, children are often too busy with their phones. That small device has become one of the most important things in their lives—their cellphone! That little thing keeps them busy, makes them happy… but that very same thing makes their parents sad.

Sometimes, we wish we could become a cellphone—so they would look at us every day, so they would search for us when we’re not around, so they would need us every minute, and so every morning we would be the first thing they reach for.

We wish we were as important to them as their phones—so they would check on us too when we're low on energy, and find ways to recharge us, just so we can keep going with our daily tasks.

Imagine your parents wishing they could become a cellphone… just to get your attentioN!
