What is The Venus Project's relationship with the regenerative movement?
The regenerative (ReGen) movement has arisen as an alternative to 'extractionist' practices of modern industry in which systems take from nature but do not give back. Extractionist practices result in offsetting the material and energetic balance of the planet and reduce biodiversity. The Venus Project shares in common with the regenerative movement a mutual respect for natural cycles and designs that coincide and serve such cycles, systems that participate in the 'real economy', not just the monetary system. We both seek global change. Where we are different is in the scope of what needs to change.
