Established in 1895 the Biograph Company™ is the American headquarters and the oldest movie company in America. Biograph™ began in 1895 near the dawn of a new century. It was the brain child of four men. The first President of Biograph™ was W. Dickson former inventor that worked along side Thomas Edison in his lab at Menlo Park, New Jersey. Dickson brought his invention with him to the company. Th

e invention was thre movies. Biograph™ first made nickelodeons for amusement houses called "Mutoscopes". These nickelodeons eventually became movie houses that showed projected film. The name of the projector was the "Biograph". This was the birth of movies as we know it. Biograph launched the careers of such famous individuals as director D. Griffith, Mary Pickford, Mack Sennett, Lionel Barrymore and Lillian Gish among many others. Biograph™ also discovered a little village to shoot in when they were in California in 1910. This village was known as Hollywood. Now Biograph™ enters another century, is an all encompassing creative, and independent entertainment company. Our wide variety of entertainment includes independent films, cable/television, radio production, digital media, commercial production, promotional and corporate productions, multimedia, and theatre. With its history, diversity, and reputation. With corporate America taking over most film companies, Biograph™ strives to keep the artistic realm of entertainment alive. Biograph Company, LLC. USA is located in New Mexico and is soley owned by the British Mutoscope & Biograph Co.

Biograph Company™, LLC. can be found in almost every encyclopedia and book on the motion picture industry, and was the company to invent the "Syntax" of film-making. It was the first company to be contracted by the White House in 1900, the first to film the Pope at the Vatican, the first motion picture company and studio in Los Angeles in 1906 and the first to make the first movie in Hollywood in 1910 which turned Hollywood from a small farming town to the movie and entertainment capital of the world. This is commemorated by a monument that stands on Hollywood and Vine. Many early stars developed their craft with Biograph Company™, LLC., such as Mary Pickford, Lionel Barrymore, and Lillian Gish, with the company making over 3,600 films. Biograph Company™, LLC. was re-organized in 2019 as an LLC. and is still an all-encompassing independent entertainment company involved in every aspect of entertainment, motion pictures, development, production, and post-production with select distribution, television, commercial production, promotional and corporate productions, and new media.
