“I LOVE YOU & I RESPECT YOU. BUT I DON’T GIVE A F*CK WHAT YOU THINK OF ME.”
I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth.
If you know me, you know I don’t normally speak like this. 😂
But after Enlightened Warrior Camp?
There are moments when “amazing” is simply not enough.
THIS CAMP WAS F*CKING AMAZING.
Not because it was easy.
Not because it was comfortable.
Not because I came out of it suddenly fearless.
But because somewhere between the challenges, the exhaustion, the tears, the laughter, the screaming, the silence, the hugs and the breakthroughs.
I met a version of myself I had been waiting for.
And maybe the biggest thing I learned was this:
I don’t need everyone to understand me anymore.
For so much of my life, I showed up.
I showed up for my career.
I showed up for my businesses.
I showed up for my family.
I showed up when life was beautiful.
And I showed up during seasons when life brought me to my knees.
I survived moments that changed me forever.
I fell.
I questioned myself.
I carried fears and limiting beliefs that sometimes nobody else could see.
And somewhere along the way, I became so used to being strong that I forgot that even a warrior is allowed to put the armor down.
This camp didn’t teach me how to become a Warrior.
It reminded me that I already was one.
But this time, being a Warrior means something different.
It doesn’t mean I have to prove how strong I am.
It doesn’t mean everybody has to like me.
It doesn’t mean I need permission to take up space, dream bigger, change direction, speak my truth or become the woman I know I am capable of becoming.
So yes,
I love you.
I respect you.
I honor your opinion.
But I no longer need your approval to live my life.
And THAT was freedom for me.
Maybe that is one of the limiting beliefs I needed to leave behind:
The need to explain myself.
The need to prove myself.
The fear of being judged.
The fear of disappointing people.
The fear that becoming more of myself might make some people uncomfortable.
I release it.
Because I realized something inside that camp:
You can love people without living for their approval.
You can respect people without surrendering your identity.
You can listen to people without allowing their opinions to become your truth.
That hit differently.
And then there were my fellow Warriors.
Almost 400 people walked into that camp carrying stories we knew nothing about.
Different lives.
Different battles.
Different fears.
Different reasons for being there.
But when the walls started coming down, titles didn’t matter.
Status didn’t matter.
Who had more didn’t matter.
We were simply human beings fighting to become more honest with ourselves.
I saw strangers encourage strangers.
I saw people cry without being ashamed.
I saw people fall and somebody reach out a hand.
I saw vulnerability become strength.
And somewhere in all of that,
strangers became Warriors, and Warriors became family.
To the trainers and crew who challenged us, believed in us, pushed us and refused to allow us to hide behind our excuses, thank you.
There were moments when I probably wanted to say, “Ayoko na!” 😂
But you reminded us that sometimes transformation is waiting just beyond the moment when you want to quit.
And to my fellow Warriors,
I hope we don’t remember this only as “that crazy camp we attended.”
I hope we remember who we were when nobody was watching.
When we were tired.
When we were uncomfortable.
When we were scared.
When our minds were telling us we couldn’t do one more thing
but we showed up anyway.
Because that’s the Warrior I want to take home with me.
Not the loud Warrior.
Not the Warrior who needs applause.
Not the Warrior who needs to prove anything.
But the Warrior who quietly says:
I know who I am.
I know what I’ve survived.
I know what I’m capable of.
And I will keep showing up.
The camp may be over.
But perhaps the biggest lesson is that the real Warrior Camp begins when we go back to ordinary life.
When there is no trainer pushing us.
No music.
No crowd cheering.
No Warriors surrounding us.
Just you
your choices
your fears
and that little voice asking:
“Are you still going to show up?”
My answer?
YES.
I will show up when I’m confident.
I will show up when I’m afraid.
I will show up when people understand me.
And I will show up even when they don’t.
Because I finally understand:
Being a Warrior isn’t about never falling.
It’s knowing that falling doesn’t get the final say.
So from this Queen Warrior to every Warrior who shared this journey with me,
I LOVE YOU.
I RESPECT YOU.
And I am deeply grateful that our paths crossed.
But from this day forward, I’m giving myself permission to live fully, love deeply, dream ridiculously big and stop allowing other people’s opinions to determine how brightly I shine.
And coming from someone who rarely swears
I think I’ve earned this one:
WHAT A F*CKINGLY AMAZING EXPERIENCE. 😂🔥
I came to Enlightened Warrior Camp thinking I was going there to learn how to become stronger.
I left realizing,
I was never there to find the Warrior.
I was there to remember her.
I AM THE QUEEN WARRIOR. 👑🔥
And wherever life takes me next,
I WILL SHOW UP.
AHO! ❤️🔥
