RONGBANG FALLS / RONGBANG DARE
A breathtaking multi-tiered waterfall situated in the West Garo Hills, Meghalaya, offering a tranquil escape. Located approximately 10-12 km before Tura town on the Williamnagar → Rongram → Tura route (NH-217).

Rongbang Dare, translating to 'waterfall' in Garo, is one of Tura’s best-kept secrets. Unlike crowded tourist spots, this cascade offers raw, untouched beauty surrounded by dense forest. The water flows down in beautiful tiers, making it perfect for photography, nature enthusiasts, and a peaceful break during road trips.

How to Reach:
-Route: Williamnagar → Rongram → Tura (NH-217)
-Distance from Tura: 12 km before town, near Rongram
-Distance from Williamnagar: 118 km, approximately 3.5-4 hour drive
-Last Mile: 500m village road + 5-10 minute trek down steps
-GPS: Search for “Rongbang Dare” on Google Maps near Rongram

Best Time to Visit:
October to February – Clear water, safe trek, pleasant weather
Monsoon (June-September) – Most powerful flow but slippery path. Visit with caution.

Travel Tips:
1. No entry fee or timings. Visit during daylight hours only.

To honor the Ganol is to safeguard a legacy. Let our reverence be absolute, so that posterity may inherit the same crystalline splendor we are privileged to behold today.
