Your grandkids will lead our society to hope and greatness:
The Zillennials, an amalgamation of the trailing edge of the Millennials and the cutting edge of Gen Z.
They have an understanding of how to manage stress and adversity.
Over 65% of them survived their parents' divorces, loss of jobs, 9/11, Covid, bitter elections, and many other things.
During their childhoods, they moved and changed schools, churches, and many homes.
They experienced their parents' bankruptcies, witnessed the death of family members and friends due to drugs, violence, stress and of course natural causes.
All of this could produce PTSD, yet the Zillennials are fostering hope and already rallying to right what their parents, the Gen Xers, and their grandparents, the Boomers, messed up.
They're not buying into the concept that 'greed is good'; they are fiscally conservative and averse to debt.
Socially, they are pragmatic and avoid judging others.
Politically, they are largely purple and are more concerned about governing starting at the local levels, then state, and lastly at the federal level.
Many are entrepreneurially motivated. They have certificates certifying their skills and understanding or seek a college education.
Almost all have a strong understanding of technology.
Yet, they are worldly in their viewpoints and do not see borders; the world is their neighbor.
Lastly, when they select a life partner, they take it seriously. If they produce children, parenting becomes their priority.
The American Dream and hope is in their heart, but so is tolerance, responsibility, respect for one another, the earth, and a whole lot of other things.
They are ready to carry the torch and are beckoning others to join them.
I close by saying the proverbial... they 'have their heads screwed on right'.
I have spent over 15 years researching the Zillennials and have completed four conjoined novels with the help of my wonderful editor, Patricia Feldman.
The Zillennials' journeys from 2013 through 2034 is a story of realignment and needs to be shared.
We are in the process of trying to get them published so we can chronicle the growth of this group internationally as they make this tiny marbe,l in the universe, a better place for all.
Our's is to tell their story free of our current political and religious biases and we set out to to just that. Amen.
