So my adorable wife, aka my little nest of vipers, finally wore me down to decorate and trim up the house and make it look more festive. Against my better judgement, she persuaded me also to purchase a real fir tree. I went to the local garden centre where I found a good selection of large and XL Christmas trees and purchased one. Making conversation at the checkout, the sales assistant asked me "if I was putting it up myself?". I reflected momentarily since I am actually open and quite receptive to ingenuity and novelty as well as unusual and unique experiences. However, on this occasion I decided instead that I would probably go with the more traditional "in the corner of the lounge" display. Such irreverance will clearly form a significant part of my Christmas Special radio show from 7-9pm tomorrow on Over the Bridge Radio. Tune in and tell family and friends. HJR

Another "special" for tonight's broadcast on Over the Bridge Radio that just has to be a marathon 2 hours from 7:00 - 9:00pm as it is a celebration of women in music. How apt that the Lionesses are facing Scotland in a crucial match at 07:45 so watch the game muting the commentary and listen to me and some wonderous female acts at the same time. HJR

I appreciate that at 7:45pm England are playing Italy in a Euro qualifier tonight so watch the match with the sound on mute and listen to me from 7:00 - 8:30 pm enjoying the best of both worlds. Great music and hopefully winning football - what more could you want?

Tonight's radio show fro 7-8:30pm on Over the Bridge Radio should be an extra good one as it will be a tribute to music of the 1970s and celebrates some great music from that decade.
