Not For Nothin' An unscripted news world order. “Not for nothing,” is a term you may have heard before. What I’m about to say is important.

It’s a term that can seemingly come out of nowhere, followed by a thought or phrase that a person feels he or she has to say. It’s almost used as an adjunction to change a subject or to simply add something in a topic that hasn’t been said and that needs to be said. Urban Dictionary is a web compilation of words and phrases that are commonly used, but you’d never find it in a contemporary dictiona

ry. They define it as a phrase meaning, “What I’m about to say is important.” Or that is, “I’m not saying this for my health”. That essentially gives people an idea on the meaning or origin of the phrase, which also gives meaning or origin to this web log. Not that what I say is important, or unimportant, that would depend on your view or why you want to hear what I have to say. I would like to think that anything I say has some importance to it, whether its to help, educate, promote, cause, effect, make you feel good, sooth you, give you hope, entertain, or whatever have you. I would also like to say, that if you are here, then some interest in what I say does exist somewhere.
