The purpose of this website is to oppose the Interim Control Ordinance that limits an addition to 20% of the existing home size in the Old Granada Hills Neighborhood. Also to inform the property owners and business owners/stakeholders of the proposed land use ordinances/community plan proposals for the area identified as Old Granada Hills and to organize opposition against it. mments in support of the changes to facilitate some public awareness and constructive discussion. There is a sub-plan proposal included in the new Knollwood/Granada Hills Community plan that lowers the residential zoning density and reduces the allowable square footage of a single family home. The Floor Area Restrictions (FAR) currently in effect were set forth in 2008 under the Los Angeles citywide “Mansionization” ordinance to curb the overbuilding on residential lots. The sub plan specifies a FAR that is 40% less than the current limits. A brief summary of the current regulations and proposed sub-area changes are shown on the City Planning Documents Page. I have lived in the affected neighborhood since 1987 and in the same house since before this proposal was conceived in 2003. I only learned of these changes on Feb. 25, 2013. discussed the changes with variety of friends, neighbors and business acquaintances within the “Old Granada Hills” boundaries.
