Beautiful woman with bad characters
Story Title: The Thorns Behind the Rose
In a quiet town nestled between green hills and flowing rivers, there lived a girl named Elira. She was known far and wide for her breathtaking beauty—hair like a waterfall of midnight, eyes like polished emeralds, and a smile that could pause time itself. People often whispered, “Surely, she must be a gift from the heavens.”
But beauty, as they say, is only skin deep.
Elira grew up hearing endless praise. Wherever she went, people catered to her, excused her rudeness, and overlooked her pride. As a result, Elira became arrogant and unkind. She would mock the poor, speak harshly to the elderly, and expect admiration without giving respect in return. She believed her beauty gave her the right to treat others however she pleased.
As the years passed, many suitors came—wealthy merchants, noble sons, even a prince—but none stayed. The first left because she insulted his mother. The second fled after she humiliated him in front of his friends. The prince? He left silently, saying only, “A rose may be lovely, but if it's all thorns, no one dares hold it.”
Elira laughed at first. “They’re fools,” she told herself. “More will come.” But eventually, the visits stopped. Invitations to festivals dwindled. Whispers turned to silence. And her mirror, once her closest friend, became her worst enemy as she watched time dull her beauty little by little.
One day, as she walked through the market alone, she saw a simple couple laughing over a shared piece of bread, their hands rough but their eyes full of love. Elira felt something strange—an emptiness she had never acknowledged before.
Years went by, and Elira grew old in a house once filled with admirers, now silent except for her own thoughts. She realized, too late, that no beauty can outshine a kind heart, and no mirror can reflect the worth of a soul.
