❗️CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN ❗️

The Oxford Middle East Review is currently open for submissions for our 9th volume: Resistance.

We invite authors to reflect on the role of resistance as practised by the people of the Middle East and North Africa, the governments of these countries, in addition to their civil societies. Submissions can define and explore resistance through any lens they see fit, from state-sponsored resistance from above or subaltern resistance from below.

📄 Papers will be considered for the journal’s three sections: policy, research and book reviews.

🔗 For more details such as submission guidelines, see link in bio!

➡️ Deadline for submissions: January 3, 2025

What is most important to know is that until the barriers of dichotomous regional and ideological rivalry are surpassed, most specifically between Israel and Iran, lasting stability cannot be achieved in the Middle East.”
