Roy Davis Jr., es un DJ estadounidense especializado en producir música house para sellos como Large Music, Ubiquity Records, nice+smooth ultramedia, Beatism y Scion entre otros. Davis creció en Chicago, Illinois, y desde muy joven se sintió fascinado por figuras como Lil Louis Official Fan Page. Tras fundar el proyecto Phuture, en 1990 se junta con el vocalista Peven Everett para grabar el tema Gabriel, que se convertiría en todo un éxito, vendiendo más de 250.000 copias y apareciendo en todo tipo de recopilatorios. Esta canción dirigiría a Davis hacia su propio sonido, el house más soul y espiritual. Además, no debemos olvidar que Davis fue miembro de Phuture, grupo fundamental en el nacimiento y desarrollo de la música acid house.
