إجتماع دوري للمجلس العلمي للدراسات العليا بكلية الطب والعلوم الصحية بجامعة صنعاء
عقد يومنا هذا المجلس العلمي للدراسات العليا بكلية الطب والعلوم الصحية بجامعة صنعاء إجتماعه الدوري في قاعة الإجتماعات بالكلية بحضور الأستاذ الدكتور/ خالد الخميسي رئيس المجلس عميد الكلية الأستاذ الدكتور/ عبدالوهاب المطهر النائب للدراسات العليا والبحث العلمي و الأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد الشهاري النائب للشئون السريرية والمستشفيات إلى جانب روؤساء الأقسام العلمية ومنسقي البرامج الدراسية التخصصية (MD) .
خلال الإجتماع تم مناقشة العديد من المواضيع المتعلقة بسير العملية التعليمية والبحثية في برامج الدراسات العليا بالكلية، تم إستعراض اللائحة الدراسات العليا الجديدة وبحث التحديات التي تواجه الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، بالإضافة إلى بحث السبل الكفيله بتذليل هذه التحديات .
كما أكد الحضور على ضرورة تطوير البرامج الأكاديمية وتحديثها بما يتماشى مع المعايير العالمية، وشددوا على أهمية تعزيز البحث العلمي ودعم مشاريع الطلاب الدراسية والبحثية .
تعكس هذه الأنشطة الجهود المستمرة من قبل كلية الطب والعلوم الصحية في جامعة صنعاء لتطوير برامج الدراسات العليا وتعزيز البحث العلمي بما يخدم التنمية المستدامة في المجال الصحي .

Periodic Meeting of the Scientific Council for Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Sana'a
Today, the Scientific Council for Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana’a University held its periodic meeting in the conference hall of the Faculty, attended by Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy the Dean of the Faculty and the Chair of the Council, Prof. Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Mutahar, the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Shahary, the Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs and Hospitals, as well as the Heads of the Academic Departments and the Coordinators of the Specialized Postgraduate Programs (MD) .
During the meeting, many topics related to the progress of the educational and research processes in the postgraduate programs at the Faculty were discussed. The new postgraduate regulations were reviewed, and the challenges facing students and faculty members were discussed, in addition to exploring ways to overcome these challenges .
The attendees also emphasized the need to develop and update the academic programs in line with international standards. They also stressed the importance of strengthening scientific research and supporting students' academic and research projects .
These activities reflect the continuous efforts of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University develop postgraduate programs and enhance scientific research in a way that serves sustainable development in the health field .

عميد الكلية يستقبل رئيس جامعة البيضاء
قام الأستاذ الدكتور/ أحمد العرامي - رئيس جامعة البيضاء بزيارة لكلية الطب والعلوم الصحية بجامعة صنعاء، حيث إلتقى بالأستاذ الدكتور/ خالد الخميسي عميد الكلية .
وخلال الزيارة أبدى عميد كلية الطب والعلوم الصحية في جامعة صنعاء ترحيبه وإستعداد الكلية للتعاون مع جامعة البيضاء وكليتها الطبية ويأتي هذا في إطار الدور الريادي لجامعة صنعاء بإعتبارها الجامعة الأم وبيت الخبرة الأول في اليمن .
كما تم مناقشة سبل تعزيز التعاون وقد زار القاعات والمعامل الحديثة وإطلع على البرنامج الطبي وعبر عن تقديره لجهود جامعة صنعاء وكليتها الطبية، مؤكداً على أهمية التعاون والتنسيق المشترك بين الجامعتين لما فيه مصلحة الطلاب والبحث العلمي في اليمن .

Dean of the Faculty Welcomes the President of Al-Baydha University
Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Arami, President of Al-Baydha University, visited the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University. He met with Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy the Dean of the faculty .
During the visit, the Dean expressed his welcome and the Faculty’s readiness to cooperate with Al-Baydha University and its medical college. This comes within the framework of the pioneering role of Sana'a University as the mother university and the primary house of expertise in Yemen .
Ways to enhance cooperation were also discussed. He visited the modern halls and laboratories, and reviewed the medical program. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Sana’a University emphasizing the importance of joint cooperation and coordination between the two universities for the benefit of students and scientific research in Yemen .

كلية الطب والعلوم الصحية تراجع برامج الدراسات العليا لضمان الجودة الدولية
عقد مجلس الدراسات العليا في كلية الطب والعلوم الصحية اجتماعه الدوري اليوم لمراجعة برامج الدكتوراه السريرية (MD)، وتضم هذه البرامج (28) تخصصًا مختلفاً .
خلال الإجتماع ناقش المجلس سبل تحسين وتطوير هذه البرامج بما يتوافق مع المعايير الدولية، وذلك بهدف ضمان الجودة العالية وتذليل أي عقبات قد تواجهها .
حضر الإجتماع نائب رئيس الجامعة لشؤون المستشفيات وعميد الكلية ونوابه ورؤساء الأقسام ومديرو البرامج، حيث تم مناقشة التحديات والفرص المتاحة لتطوير برامج الدراسات العليا في الكلية .
يأتي هذا الإجتماع في إطار جهود الكلية المستمرة لضمان مواكبة برامجها للمعايير العالمية وتزويد الطلاب بتعليم طبي متميز .

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Reviews Graduate Programs to Ensure International Quality
The Graduate Studies Council at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences held its periodic meeting today to review the clinical doctoral (MD) programs, which encompass (28) different specializations .
During the meeting, the council discussed ways to improve and develop these programs in line with international standards, with the aim of ensuring high quality and overcoming any obstacles they may face .
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Hospital Affairs, the Dean of the Faculty and his deputies, department heads, and program directors, where the challenges and opportunities for developing the Faculty’s graduate programs were discussed .
This meeting comes within the framework of the Faculty’s continuous efforts to ensure that its programs keep pace with global standards and provide students with distinguished medical education .

الكلية تُعقد إجتماعاً لروؤساء ومنسقي معايير الإعتماد الأكاديمي الدولي لبرنامج الطب والجراحة
عقد صباح اليوم الأحد الموافق 4 أغسطس 2024م إجتماع لروؤساء ومنسقي المعايير الأكاديمية في وحدة ضمان الجودة بالكلية وذلك لمراجعة معايير الإعتماد الأكاديمي الدولي بعد إعدادها حيث راجع كل فريق معياره ومراجعة المستجدات والقصور والادلة والشواهد المطلوبة .
وقال عميد الكلية الأستاذ الدكتور/ خالد الخميسي، إن الكلية تمر بمنعطف تاريخي في مسيرتها، مؤكداً على أهمية تحمل الجميع للمسؤولية وأكد على فائدة الإعتماد لخريجي البرنامج فضلاً عن التحسين والتطوير المستمر للمستوى الأداء الأكاديمي والمهني، كما أكد على إلتزام قيادة الجامعة ممثلة ب الأستاذ الدكتور/ القاسم محمد عباس - رئيس الجامعة نحو تحقيق أهداف الخطة التنفيذية لإستراتيجية الكلية الجديدة ٢٠٢٤- ٢٠٢٨م.

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences holds a meeting for the chairs and coordinators of international academic accreditation standards for the medicine and surgery program
A meeting was held this morning, Sunday, 4 August 2024, for the chairs and coordinators of academic standards in the Quality Assurance Unit of the Faculty to review the international academic accreditation standards after their preparation, where each team reviewed their standard and reviewed the updates, deficiencies, and required evidence.
The Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-khamesy said that the faculty is going through a historic turning point in its journey, emphasizing the importance of everyone bearing responsibility and stressing the benefit of accreditation for the program graduates, as well as the continuous improvement and development of the level of academic and professional performance. He also emphasized the commitment of the university leadership, represented by Prof Dr. Al-Qassim Mohammed Abbas, the President of the University, to achieving the goals of the implementation plan for the new facility strategy 2024-2028.

عقدت كلية الطب والعلوم الصحية بجامعة صنعاء إختبارات القبول في برنامج الأطراف الصناعية والتعويضية يومنا هذا الاحد الموافق ٤ / أغسطس /2024 م، تم إجراء الاختبارات في قاعة الأطراف الصناعية والتعويضية بالكلية وفي نفس الوقت إجراء الإختبارات للطلاب المرشحين من المراكز في محافظات الجمهورية عبر تقنية الزووم .
أشرف على الإختبارات الأستاذ الدكتور/ خالد الخميسي - عميد الكلية والدكتور/ عبدالوهاب هادي مسئول الشئون الأكاديمية لبرامج الطبية التطبيقية وممثل من اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر الأستاذ/ ياسر العماد - مشرف البرنامج وبحضور كلاً من المسجل الأستاذ/ محمد عبده والأستاذ/ أحمد المطري - مدير إدارة نظم المعلومات والأستاذة/ نسيم المقحفي الرقابة .
أثنى العميد على الشفافية والمصداقية والعدالة التي تمت بها الإختبارات، مؤكداً على إستخدام التكنولوجيا لتسهيل إجراءات القبول، وأعرب عن تطلعه لإنضمام الطلبة المتميزين للبرنامج والمساهمة في تطوير خدمات الأطراف الصناعية والتعويضية في البلاد .

Conducting the admission tests for the prosthetic and prosthetic program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana'a University
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana'a University, held the admission tests for the prosthetic and prosthetic program today, Sunday, 4/August/2024. The tests were conducted in the prosthetic and prosthetic hall at the Faculty and at the same time, the tests were conducted for the students nominated from the centers in the governorates of the Republic via Zoom technology.
The tests were supervised by Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-khamesy - Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Hadi, Head of Academic Affairs for Applied Medical Programs, and a representative from the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mr. Yasser Al-Imad - Program Supervisor, in the presence of the Registrar, Mr. Mohammad Abdo, Mr. Ahmed Al-Matari - Director of the Information Systems Department, and Ms. Naseem Al-Maqhfi, Supervisor.
The Dean praised the transparency, credibility and justice with which the tests were conducted, stressing the use of technology to facilitate admission procedures, and expressed his aspiration for distinguished students to join the program and contribute to the development of prosthetic and prosthetic services in the country .

إجراء أول عملية تركيب صمام للقلب في اليمن دون تدخل جراحي
في إنجاز طبي مهم، قام فريق من الأطباء بإجراء أول عملية تركيب صمام للقلب في اليمن بإستخدام تقنية جراحية متقدمة دون الحاجة للجراحة التقليدية المفتوحة، وقد قاد هذه العملية الدكتور/ طه الميموني - أستاذ القلب والقسطرة بكلية الطب والعلوم الصحية بجامعة صنعاء .
تمت هذه العملية الناجحة في مركز القلب بالمستشفى العسكري، مما يعد إنجازاً مهماً نحو تطوير الرعاية الصحية في اليمن، وأصبح بإمكان المرضى الحصول على هذا النوع من الخدمات المتقدمة داخل البلاد بدلاً من الحاجة للسفر إلى الخارج، مما يوفر الوقت والتكاليف .
هذه التقنية المستخدمة والمعروفة باسم TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation)، تتيح تركيب صمام القلب الأبهري عبر القسطرة بدلاً من الجراحة المفتوحة، وهي تقنية أقل خطورة وتتطلب فترة نقاهة أقصر للمريض، مما يجعلها خياراً مناسباً لكبار السن والمرضى ذوي المخاطر الصحية العالية .
هذا الإنجاز يعكس التطور الذي وصلت إليه الرعاية الصحية في اليمن، ويفتح الباب أمام إجراء المزيد من التدخلات الطبية المتقدمة، كما يساعد الأطباء اليمنيين على مواصلة التطوير والإبتكار في مجال الرعاية الصحية في البلاد .

First Transcatheter Heart Valve Implantation Performed in Yemen Without Surgical Intervention
In an important medical achievement, a team of doctors performed the first heart valve implantation procedure in Yemen using advanced surgical techniques without the need for traditional open-heart surgery. This procedure was led by Dr. Taha Al-Maimoni, Professor of Cardiology and Catheterization at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana'a University .
This successful procedure was carried out at the Heart Center of the Military Hospital, marking a significant milestone in the development of healthcare in Yemen. Patients can now access this type of advanced service within the country, rather than having to travel abroad, which saves time and costs .
The technique used, known as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), allows for the implantation of the aortic heart valve through a catheter instead of open-heart surgery. This technique is less risky and requires a shorter recovery period for the patient, making it a suitable option for elderly patients and those with high-risk health conditions .
This achievement reflects the progress that has been made in healthcare in Yemen and opens the door for more advanced medical interventions. It also helps Yemeni doctors continue to develop and innovate in the field of healthcare in the country .

إجتماع مجلس كلية الطب والعلوم الصحية الدوري - يوليو / 2024م

عقد مجلس كلية الطب والعلوم الصحية صباح يومنا هذا الإجتماع الدوري لمجلس الكلية برئاسة رئيس المجلس عميد الكلية الأستاذ الدكتور/ خالد الخميسي وبحضور الأستاذ الدكتور /عبداللطيف أبوطالب نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الكليات الطبية والمستشفيات ونواب العميد وروؤساء الاقسام الأساسية والسريرية لكافة برامج الكلية، وخلال الإجتماع تمت مراجعة الإجتماع السابق والموافقة عليه وإعتماده ثم بدء الإجتماع بمناقشة العديد من القضايا الهامة المتعلقة بالجودة والإعتماد الأكاديمي وما يتعلق بشئون الدراسات العليا والشئون الأكاديمية وشئون الطلاب وشئون التطوير .
وعلى هامش الاجتماع تم دعوة الأستاذ/ عادل الحبابي - المساعد الإعلامي لرئيس الجامعة وقدم لهم شرحاً وافياً لما يجري من تطوير للموقع الإلكتروني للجامعة وللكلية وتنشيط وسائل التواصل الإجتماعي المختلفة وربط الإعلانات والأنشطة والفعاليات ونشرها في الموقع الإلكتروني وصفحات التواصل الإجتماعي التي ستساهم في رفع عدد الزيارات للموقع الإلكتروني للكلية وللجامعة الأمر الذي سيساعد في عملية التصنيف الدولي للجامعة بين جامعات العالم كما أوضح الحبابي سعي الجامعة لتصوير محاضرات المستويات الثلاثة الأولى في كلية الطب ونشرها في صفحة الكلية باليوتيوب الأمر الذي سيساعد أبنائنا الطلاب والطالبات في العودة إليها كمراجع مستقبلاً، وتحدث الحبابي عن أهمية متابعة مناقشة الدرجات العلمية في الدراسات العليا للماجستير والدكتوراه التي تمنحها الكلية للطلاب الدارسين بها وأهمية نشرها بموقعي الكلية والجامعة وصفحات مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي بما تمثله من نماذج يقتدى بها في أوساط الطلاب .
من جانبه أكد الأستاذ الدكتور/ خالد الخميسي - عميد الكلية على مساهمة الكلية وطاقمها الأكاديمي والإداري بتقديم كل ما من شأنه رفع التصنيف الدولي للجامعة في إطار تخصصها وما يمكن أن يفيد من خلال الإهتمام بموقع الكلية وصفحات مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي التي ستساهم بلا شك مع بقية الكليات والمراكز في إنجاح هذه التجربة لجامعة صنعاء في الإستفادة من تنشيط الجانب الإعلامي للجامعة وبما يعود بالفائدة على أبنائنا الطلاب والطالبات وعلى الكليات والجامعة عموماً، وخلال اللقاء قدم عدد من أعضاء المجلس بعض الإستفسارات والمقترحات التي ستساهم في إنجاح العمل الإعلامي في الكلية وبما يعود بالنفع على الجميع.

Periodic Meeting of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences - July \ 2024
This morning, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Council held its periodic meeting of the Faculty Council, headed by the Chairman of the Council, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Khamisi, and attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, Vice President of the University for Medical Faculty's and Hospitals Affairs, Vice Deans, and Heads of the Basic and Clinical Departments for all Faculty Programs. During the meeting, the previous meeting was reviewed, approved, and adopted. Then, the meeting began by discussing many important issues related to quality and academic accreditation, and what is related to graduate studies, academic affairs, student affairs, and development affairs.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the media assistant to the university president, was invited and he gave them a comprehensive explanation of what is happening in terms of developing the university and Faculty websites, activating various social media, linking advertisements, activities and events and publishing them on the website and social media pages, which will contribute to increasing the number of visits to the Faculty and university websites, which will help in the process of international classification of the university among the world’s universities. Al-Hababi also explained the university’s efforts to film the lectures of the first three levels in the Faculty of Medicine and publish them on the Faculty’s YouTube page, which will help our male and female students to return to them as references in the future. Al-Hababi spoke about the importance of following up on the discussion of the academic degrees in postgraduate studies for master’s and doctorate degrees that the Faculty grants to its students and the importance of publishing them on the Faculty and university websites and social media pages, as they represent models to be emulated by students. For his part, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Khamisi, Dean of the Faculty, stressed the contribution of the Faculty and its academic and administrative staff to provide everything that would raise the international classification of the university within the framework of its specialization and what could be beneficial through interest in the Faculty’s website and social media pages, which will undoubtedly contribute with the rest of the Faculty's and centers to the success of this experiment for Sana’a University in benefiting from activating the media aspect of the university and in a way that benefits our male and female students and the Faculty's and the university in general. During the meeting, a number of council members presented some inquiries and suggestions that would contribute to the success of the media work in the Faculty and in a way that benefits everyone.
