Msanii wa Bongo Flava Marioo, amefanikiwa kushinda tuzo ya Msanii Bora wa Kiume Afrika Mashariki 2026 (Best Male East Africa) katika tuzo za African Regional Music Awards (AFRIMMA) zilizofanyika usiku wa kuamkia leo Septemba 13, 2026, jijini Dallas, Texas huko nchini Marekani.

Tuzo hizo zilitolewa katika tamasha la AFRIMMA Music Fest lililofanyika kwenye Uwanja wa Annette Strauss Square, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Mbali na kushinda tuzo hiyo, pia alikuwa miongoni mwa wasanii ambao wametoa burudani kali katika Tamasha hilo huku akipewa -support ya JITU Dj D-Ommy đŸ‡č🇿(InterNational Dj) kutoka CROWN DJs.

La culture congolaise perd l’une de ses voix marquantes.

Carleton Lassa Ndombasi, dit Carlyto Lassa, s’est Ă©teint Ă  Cincinnati, aux États-Unis.

Artiste musicien et chanteur Ă  la voix cristalline, il aura marquĂ© l’histoire de la Rumba congolaise et plusieurs gĂ©nĂ©rations de mĂ©lomanes, notamment Ă  travers son parcours au sein de Choc Stars et ses collaborations avec de grandes figures de notre patrimoine musical, avant de consacrer une autre partie de sa vie au gospel et au ministĂšre pastoral.

En ce moment de deuil, nous adressons nos condolĂ©ances les plus attristĂ©es Ă  sa famille, Ă  la communautĂ© chrĂ©tienne ainsi qu’à l’ensemble de la famille artistique et culturelle congolaise.

Les fĂ©dĂ©rations de l’UDPS/Tshisekedi de Beni, Butembo et du Nord-Kivu rural exigent le dĂ©part « immĂ©diat et sans condition » du gouverneur militaire Somo Kakule Evariste.
🔮 1. SÉCURITÉ
Le parti dĂ©nonce la persistance des attaques attribuĂ©es aux ADF/MTN Ă  Beni, dans les territoires de Beni et de Lubero, ainsi que l’insuffisance de la rĂ©ponse aux alertes de la population.
🔮 2. GESTION ADMINISTRATIVE
L’UDPS dĂ©nonce Ă©galement une politique d’exclusion de ses militants dans certains services publics provinciaux, notamment Ă  travers deux commissions d’affectation datĂ©es du 6 aoĂ»t 2026.
🔮 3. DEMANDES
Les fĂ©dĂ©rations exigent la correction de ces commissions, la vĂ©rification des identitĂ©s des personnes proposĂ©es et la saisine de l’ANR et de la DGM.

Les signataires se rĂ©servent le droit d’organiser des manifestations de grande envergure pour obtenir le dĂ©part du gouverneur militaire.

For nearly thirty years, living with HIV has meant fitting a pill into everyday life ;taking it at the same time, every day, without fail.

But that routine is beginning to change.

One of the clearest signs is the arrival of long-acting treatment. Cabotegravir and rilpivirine can now be given together as injections every two months, allowing some people living with HIV to control the virus without taking a tablet every day.

The shift became official in July 2025, when the World Health Organization added long-acting cabotegravir and rilpivirine to its HIV treatment guidance. The recommendation is for adults and adolescents whose HIV is already fully suppressed on oral treatment and who do not have active hepatitis B. That matters because WHO guidance helps shape treatment policies and programmes in countries around the world.

And much of the evidence behind this change has come from Africa.

In the CARES trial, 512 adults in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa either remained on daily tablets or switched to cabotegravir and rilpivirine injections every eight weeks. After 96 weeks, 97 percent of participants in both groups still had the virus fully under control, according to results published in Nature Medicine.

The findings among young people were also striking. A second trial followed 476 adolescents living with HIV in Kenya, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Confirmed viral rebound occurred in just 2 of the 235 participants receiving injections, compared with 15 of the 241 taking daily tablets. And among the 228 participants asked about their experience, 94 percent said the injections were much easier to take.

A man in Uganda has been awarded UGX 190 million (about $53,000) after being wrongly placed on antiretroviral therapy (ART) for seven years.

He was mistakenly diagnosed as HIV-positive in 2016 and underwent HIV treatment for seven years, resulting in physical and emotional harm. Independent testing later confirmed that he was HIV-negative.

The High Court in Jinja ruled in his favor and awarded him UGX 190 million in compensation for the unnecessary treatment and resulting harm.
