EAST COAST RADIO HOUSE & GARDEN SHOW – A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!
The East Coast Radio House & Garden Show has long been a highlight on the Hirsch's calendar, and this year's event was nothing short of outstanding. According to Hirsch's Founder, Allan Hirsch, who sadly couldn't attend in person but followed (very enthusiastically) the action from afar, it was the company's most successful show yet.
I absolutely love being part of this incredible family-owned brand, and it was such a privilege to be there, meeting visitors, sharing the latest Hirsch's Magazine – the magazine that I had the pleasure of producing with alongside my talented colleague, Stephanie Osborne -, and seeing the excitement on the faces of those featured on its pages.
One of the highlights was catching up with the inspiring Jackie Cameron, celebrated chef and owner of Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine, who features in the magazine, as she cooked up a storm in the ever-popular Hirsch's Kitchen. It was also wonderful to spend time with the fantastic Snappy Chef team and CEO Morné Kok, valued partners with whom we've shared so many exciting culinary projects, with many more still to come.
But beyond the incredible demonstrations, innovative products and packed programme, what truly makes this event so special is the people. From the talented chefs in the Hirsch's Kitchen to the outstanding Hirsch team on the showroom floor, there was an unmistakable warmth, passion and willingness to help. Every interaction reflected the culture that has made Hirsch's such a respected and much-loved brand.
Congratulations to everyone who contributed to making this year's show such a phenomenal success. Here's to many more!

SPOTLIGHT ON SALES AT SALES DOMINATION CONFERENCE
KwaZulu-Natal sales professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners recently gathered at the Gateway Hotel for an inspiring and action-packed Sales Domination Conference, a dynamic event focused on sharpening sales skills, building confidence and equipping attendees with practical tools to grow their businesses.
The conference was led by renowned sales motivational speaker Vinesh Maharaj, who has successfully trained sales teams across South Africa. Through a powerful and engaging presentation, Maharaj shared valuable insights into the art of selling, the importance of resilience, and how to approach customers with confidence and purpose in an ever-changing business environment.
Joining Maharaj on the day were two equally inspiring speakers: Sarah Swainson, motivational speaker and owner of Bold Heart and Ordinarily Active, and Grant Adlam, Founder of KZN Top Business. Together, the speakers brought a wealth of experience, encouragement and practical advice to the conference, leaving attendees energised and motivated to take their sales performance to the next level.
One of the highlights of the conference was the interactive closing session, where participants were invited to do mini presentations based on various customer scenarios and sales challenges. This practical exercise gave attendees the opportunity to put what they had learnt into action, proving that with the right mindset and preparation, they could deliver strong, effective sales pitches no matter the circumstances.
The event was a resounding success, with delegates leaving inspired, empowered and better equipped to tackle the demands of today’s competitive sales environment.
The next Sales Domination Conference is set to take place in September.

There's nothing quite like seeing a project you've poured your heart into come to life!
I'm incredibly excited that the latest Hirsch's Magazine, for which I create and edit content on behalf of Hirsch's, is now available in Hirsch stores nationwide and will also be featured as an insert in the July edition of the wonderful SA Homeowner magazine.
This issue celebrates the spirit of home with the theme Mi Casa Su Casa – a vibrant tribute to hospitality, family, food, and beautiful living spaces.
It was an absolute pleasure working alongside the talented designer Stephanie Osborne from Local Creative to bring these pages to life. Having the incredibly talented J'Something, lead singer of Mi Casa, and his wife and culinary partner, Coco, as our cover feature was the icing on the cake!
A special thank you to SMEG South Africa for helping make this connection possible, and to the inspiring Jackie Cameron of the Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine for welcoming us and sharing her remarkable story.
