🇿🇦 PRESS RELEASE

THE REPUBLIC RECLAIMS ITS FUTURE

Issued by the Office of the Convener — The November 8 Nationwide Demonstrations, South Africa 2025

South Africa:
Paseka Makoti, Founder and Principal Convener of The November 8 Nationwide Demonstrations and Custodian of the Republic Vision, has announced that South Africans will gather peacefully across the country on Saturday 8 November 2025, from 13:00 to 16:00, in a coordinated national stand against fraud, corruption, and crime in government.

A former SANDF Special Forces member, veteran activist, community leader, and lifelong volunteer, Makoti said the demonstrations will be a lawful and disciplined expression of the people’s moral outrage and civic duty to restore integrity in the Republic’s public life.

“We march not to halt the nation, but to help it rise again,” Makoti declared.

He emphasized that the demonstrations are designed to minimise disruption to daily life while giving every citizen a lawful platform to reject corruption and affirm the founding values of South Africa’s constitutional democracy. All participants will operate under a strict code of conduct — no drugs, no weapons, no alcohol — and are urged to cooperate fully with peace marshals and law-enforcement officers.

Makoti reaffirmed that the purpose of the November 8 movement is unity, not confrontation: a day for South Africans to stand together against the decay of governance, renew national honour, and defend the Republic’s future with discipline, dignity, and peace.
