DAVID JOHNSON
Male | 30s–40s
Father of Chloe and Ethan. A loving father whose world collapses when his children disappear. Strong emotional range required.
SARAH JOHNSON
Female | 30s–40s
Mother of Chloe and Ethan. Loving and devoted, she becomes overwhelmed by fear and guilt following the disappearance of her children. Strong dramatic performance required.
ETHAN JOHNSON — KEY CHILD ROLE
Male | 8–10
A brave nine-year-old boy kidnapped alongside his sister. Despite being frightened, Ethan demonstrates remarkable courage. Parental/guardian consent required.
CHLOE JOHNSON — KEY CHILD ROLE
Female | 12–14
Thirteen-year-old Chloe is Ethan’s older sister. Protective of her younger brother, she tries to remain strong despite terrifying circumstances. Parental/guardian consent required.

A respected veteran journalist and mentor to Sofia. Wise, compassionate and emotionally grounded.
COMMANDER DAMIAN LOMBARD

A seasoned police commander. Calm, intelligent and authoritative, Damian becomes a key figure in the investigation and police operation.
MASEKO
Male | 25–35
A young, professional police officer who understands the local community. Intelligent, observant and compassionate beneath his professional exterior.
THE LEADER
Male | 40s–60s
The sophisticated and calculating leader of a child-trafficking syndicate. Calm, elegant and intimidating. Strong screen presence essential.
THE TRAFFICKER
Male | 30s–50s
An aggressive and intimidating member of the trafficking syndicate. Strong character presence required.
ADDITIONAL CHILD PERFORMERS
We are also looking for child and teenage performers of various ages to portray children affected by the trafficking operation. Approximate age range: 7–16. Parental or legal guardian consent will be required for all performers under 18.

🎬 VOLUNTARY INDEPENDENT FILM OPPORTUNITY
FREIGHT OF SILENCE is being produced as a low-budget independent feature film. At this stage, no acting fee or salary is being offered. Selected actors will participate on a voluntary basis, contributing their talent and time to the production.
THE PRODUCTION WILL PROVIDE:

🎥 Professional film production experience
🎞️ Screen credit for participating cast members
🎬 The opportunity to be part of an original feature film supported by the Russian Film Festival of South Africa
