A happy accident turned to my favourite cool beverage!

I ordered a ‘Choc Cookie - Flavoured Mocha’ at Vida E Caffè recently and the barista accidentally made an Iced Caffè instead of the warm beverage it was meant to be. But I’m 100% sure this might beat every beverage on their menu🤤🔥

My only issue is that the large just wasn’t big enough😂oh and it’s side-by-side the wife’s boring iced cappuccino😒

If you’re in the mood for Indian food, I definitely recommend Thava Indian Restaurant! 🤤🔥 The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, excellent service, and some of the most exquisite Indian dishes around.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying out two unique starter platters, one of which was a Tandoori and the other vegetarian. Not exactly my choice, but with a menu that extensive, I had to ask for some recommendations, and they were spot on!

Here are the names of the starters in the pics: Tandoori Platter - Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Pahadi Tikka, Malai Kebabs, and Lamb Sheekh Kebabs.

Vegetarian Platter - Veg Patties, Onion Bhajia, Punjabi Samoosa, Spinach and Corn Bhajia.

For the main course, I had to give the Thava Lamb Shank Masala (Hot) a try, which caught me a bit off guard. I’m a huge fan of spicy food, but I definitely came unprepared on this one. The level of heat was beyond most curries I’ve tried, yet still as delicious as I’d imagined. The lamb was cooked and flavoured to perfection and was falling off the bone. I had to scoop it up with some garlic naan and rice on the side.

With restaurants spread across South Africa, you have to give Thava a visit and see for yourself.

One of my favourite steak dinners has to be at The Hussar Grill. An intimate setting paired with high quality cuts of meat, allow for a truly mouth watering experience.

My go-to steak of choice is the ribeye with bone marrow compound butter, topped blue cheese sauce and a side of creamed spinach, honey glazed butternut and deep fried onion rings.

It’s a really huge steak so be prepared to loosen your belt😂yet worth every bite!

The starters in the pics are deep fried calamari and tartar sauce. A really light and refreshing meal when sprinkled with lemon. The other starter is deep fried camembert paired with mini slices of toast and a cranberry dipping sauce.

Hussar has a variety of premium cuts so make sure to check them out when that steak cravings kick in🤤🥩🔥

Hold up! Can we take a minute to address that Crumbs & Cream just changed the game for late night snackage!🍪🍨🍪

These tiny packs of deliciousness have a smooth, creamy ice-cream center, stuffed between the most delectable chewy cookies around. They can be found at your local Engen SA fuel station/convenience store all over South Africa.⛽️

I might be a sucker for guilty pleasures like these. But when you look at the clock and it’s 12am, you’re looking in your snack cupboard and can’t seem to find a treat that would satisfy your late night cravings. Trust me, that first bite into an ice-cream cookie sandwich, bursting with creamy goodness would make everything seem well worth the late night drive. PJ’s and all…🚗😂

You know that mouth-watering hyped up review? Yeah this is not it! This is a partition to bring back RocoMamas Rondebosch after having the worst experience at the N1 City branch…

Let me tell you a story of guy with a m**o wings craving. For years our family having been visiting RocoMamas Rondebosch, enjoying juicy smash burgers, salty shoestring fries and especially the wings! It’s like our thing… not always the best experience with our takeaway orders but always a superb food and taste quality.

Our recent visit to RocoMamas N1 City was one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had!!

We arrive at the packed venue and waited to be seated, nothing serious, I mean that’s normal right? We were seated at the smallest damn table before switching tables. With seats that were falling off the chair. Waited ages to be served and the floors were disgusting. Food and drinks all over that had our shoes sticking to the floor.

Eventually our food came after taking the Rocomamas exam, I still don’t understand how you have to do a test to order food which they always get wrong and it’s on paper!!

Our wings and burgers came without our order of cheese bombs. Mine came with ranch sauce after I specifically asked for blue cheese sauce, and I asked for a bigger one than the small thing they gave me. The sauce came and it was this runny milk that smelt like blue cheese. I’m 100% sure they gave me a small sauce with milk, making it ‘big’ like I asked for. The wings tasted like it was fried from being frozen and the m**o sauce poured over. Absolutely horrible tasting wings!

The only good thing was the cheese bombs which was fresh and fried to perfection. A crunchy crumbed outside with a creamy cheese center and m**o mayo dip was amazeballs!!

Overall, I’ve never been this disappointed in Rocomamas especially when all I wanted was my m**o wings😒craving still not satisfied…

Would not recommend visiting the N1 City branch, poor service and disappointing food.
