Tell Me About Cheeky Mantwa

When I was a small-ish human (I was tall for a small human!), I was sitting in a boring office waiting room with my sister beside me. To fill time, I drew on a piece of newspaper...like you do! What popped out was a stick-person version of my beautiful sister 🙂Although the design looked pretty simple, it really wasn’t, because so much love went into each line and every wave of her beautiful long curls.

My family encouraged me to keep drawing and before we knew it I had hundreds of hand-drawn designs which we turned into greeting cards and sold in my mums gift shop. They sold!! In fact they sold pretty surprisingly well! To me, it was a fun hobby that I couldn't believe people cared about! After some time, the shop closed and life paved new paths.....school, exams, you know, the stuff you occupy yourself with on your way to learning how to do the adult thing! My sticky people designs were packed away...booo!

Fast forward to now (20+ years later!) and I’ve become a fully grown human, but with the same childlike excitement for paper, cards and greetings .....and for the opportunity to start real greeting card and stationary brand!

And so the journey begins to bring my childhood greeting card dream back to life in the form of Cheeky Mantwa and the first collection being Stick People!!!!!
