The Airbus A380-800 is the world’s largest passenger airliner, often called the “superjumbo.” With two full decks running the entire length of the aircraft, it can carry over 850 passengers in an all-economy layout, though most airlines configure it for around 500–600 with mixed classes.
Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 900 or Engine Alliance GP7200 engines, the A380-800 cruises at Mach 0.85 and has a range of about 8,000 nautical miles—making it ideal for long-haul routes between major hubs.
Fact : The A380’s wings are so large they could fit the entire wingspan of a Boeing 737 within them!
