Let me explain to you why this victory is so sweet
This Modified Saloon Car class is an incredibly tough class to be in.
At the other Hill Climbs, which you actually cannot compare as the race tracks are completely different, these cars generally average a time of 38 seconds to about 37 seconds, yes you read correctly just 1 second difference, I have never seen a sub 37 seconds in South Africa.
The times these cars were running on Sunday at the Speed Classic Cape Town were simply unbelievable for this class.
Reggie’s qualifying time was 37.311, his class final in May which he won was a time of 37.968 (again a completely different track)
When I heard Reggie did a 35.625 in his class final I couldn’t believe it.
I asked Reggie if he ever thought this car had a 35 in her,
he said no, I never thought it was possible.
Reggie won the class on Sunday which is a huge victory especially up against Franco Scribante and Pieter Zeelie.
For the King of The Mountain shoot out Reggie came second,
with a time of 35.859, Franco won the class but Reggie was just off by 00.599 seconds, almost 6 tenths of a second!
Now that I’ve painted this picture for you, you will understand how sweet this victory is, not only for Reggie but for BB Motorsport that works tirelessly to get the car get these results.
Congratulations my friend and to the team, I cannot wait for the next hill climb 🥳💖🏁
Lastly this reel has no music or filters because I want you to hear Armageddon and experience this like I did.
