Wonderful Weirdos Day is celebrated annually on September 9 to encourage people to embrace their uniqueness, think outside the box, and appreciate the eccentric qualities of others.

Wonderful Weirdos Day began in 2000, linked to the "Keep Austin Weird" campaign by Tom Roy in Austin, Texas. The purpose was to celebrate the uniqueness and exceptional qualities that make people different, rather than conforming to the "normal".
