During the ACI Africa Conference in Dakar, Senegal, our esteemed delegates had the unique opportunity to explore the vibrant culture and natural splendor of this captivating country.

One group ventured to Lagune de la Somone, a serene oasis nestled within Senegal's natural reserves. This tranquil sanctuary, adorned with mangroves and diverse aquatic flora, provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful boat ride. Delegates marveled at the array of bird species, immersing themselves in the soothing ambiance of nature.

Meanwhile, another group explored the historic Île de Gorée and the enlightening Musée des Civilisations Noires. Île de Gorée, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offered profound insights into Senegal's past, particularly its connection to the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Delegates wandered through historical architecture, absorbing the island's poignant history. The journey continued at the Musée des Civilisations Noires, a treasure trove of African heritage. Exhibits and artifacts eloquently showcased the continent's cultural contributions, leaving our delegates inspired and enlightened.

The historic Church of St. Porphyrius, Gaza’s oldest active church, was struck Thursday as it sheltered hundreds of Palestinians displaced by the war, according to religious officials.
�At least 16 Christians were killed in the bombing and unknown number injured, the Gaza-based Palestinian Ministry of Health said Friday.
�The Washington Post geolocated the strike and confirmed the location of the church based on a video that shows people searching through rubble of a destroyed building in Gaza City. The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem blamed Israel for the strike.
