CTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking to fill the position of a Trainee Platemaker. The position will report to the Production Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.
REQUIREMENTS:
• A minimum of 1-3 years platemaking experience is advantageous
• Knowledge of plate output devices as well as knowledge and control experience of plate output devices
• Good understanding of Technique MIS application software
• Good understanding of basic print production processes and flow
• Team player but must be able to work independently as well
• Must be able to follow procedures strictly
• Able to work towards deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proven history of reliability, timekeeping and attendance
• Able to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
• Attention to detail as well as accuracy
• Safety-conscious
• Physically fit
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Attend all training programmes identified for the position and department is compulsory
• Willing to work overtime as and when required.
• Willing to work shifts (both day, night and weekends)
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
• Perform all plate making operating requirements of the Prepress production areas
• Minor administrative tasks (data recording)
• Provide support to the Prepress team
• Conduct machinery checks and maintenance tasks daily
• Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Prepress Manager

Will be required to work shifts (day, night and weekend)

Salary
