Warning to All*
In 2019, I moved to Lagos and started living with a schoolmate from Imo State University, where I studied Computer Engineering. Everything seemed normal until one night, around 1 am, the police burst into our compound. We were all taken away, and I ended up in prison, accused of armed robbery.
The police claimed my roommate and others were involved in a crime, and a stolen phone led them to our house. Despite my innocence, I was arrested, charged, and spent five years in prison. No proper investigation, no listening to my side of the story. Just straight to court and prison.
My only mistake was trusting the wrong person, a friend I thought I knew. I lost five years of my life, and it's a harsh lesson learned.
Don't stay with someone you don't truly know.
Don't let friendship cloud your judgment.
One bad friend can destroy your life.
