have you ever ?

have you ever been betrayed
have you ever lost a life
have you ever felt dead
have you ever ?
i have

people whom i valued showed me
how i needed to equip trust issues
it wasn't a suprise
it wasn't anything leading to their demise
but hey i tried
now they'll witness my true self
let's just hope i won't be tied

poem 018: Bridges Cry Too

from rural to the city
from the past to the future
from ponds to the rivers
from horse kraals to fancy cars

some bridges were set alight
because of their anger
and some bridges were flooded
because of their sadness

in some cases we often
lose hope constantly because
we let our emotions
take over us

and we can't stop
how we feel because
we're bound to feel

looking at the sky so
blue full of clouds
with the sub shines at the
sky so brightly

looking at the ground
beneath my feet
there's a small patch of
green grass looking healthy

in some cases we all live
and try by all means to
survive another day

death is feared by many
surely there's something i
can do
oh so help me Lord

what's so tough without
any odds
passion of corruption is
Satan's evil deeds isn't

but by the look of things
i've been hanging on
a pole above Satan's pit of
flames

help me Lord i'm at
my last breath
and my death is
in the horizon

i woke up because of
an usual sound
a sound of an unexpected visitor
sometimes i would let
it go away

as i close my eyes
a thunder storm was crackling
above my house's roof
the curtains were blown inside out

as i went downstairs
my front door was opened
i don't know who or what
entered the house

it build it's own wall
but the same wall is
breaking into shreds

i thought i had a breakthrough
but instead i had a breakdown
hate filled my heart with anger
i need someone to console me

this anger is tearing my life apart
the life of hate has been created
and the life of love has disappeared

for decades i have been searching and seeking
at times i would feel helpless
i could feel the pain on my heart
sometimes music helps to ease it

i am unable to move and i'm trapped
it feels like i'm a prisoner
on a jail cell

because there's no hope available
perhaps i can learn from it
i realized that if i can be enthusiastic
i can regain hope once again
