Too many people are eager to get into the respectable education segment since it looks quite attractive from the outside. I have met and counseled many entrepreneurs in the preschool business and these are my findings.
The Critical Success Factors for a Preschool Franchise business.
●Knowing the sales and marketing is the most important activity in a service business. The owner needs the ability to consistently market the preschool in the vicinity through word of mouth, media, generate leads and convert them. Not many franchisees are able to market the services. Generating leads and converting leads is one challenge but getting positive feedback from the existing clients is a bigger challenge.
●Ability to retain good trained staff who can establish a rapport and a friendly relationship with parents can generate a positive feedback and help market the preschool. Timely communication with parents on factors other than syllabus is critical. Extra circular activities need proper management to assist the students development without burdening the busy parents. Participation in cultural events should be easy for parents. The preschool needs to research the availability of the tools/materials before setting up an activity or task.
●Location plays an important role in the success. Understand the Competition and your the target market before your start. If the chosen area already has too many preschools, the market is shared. Apart from that, each brand has a certain positioning, you need a right clientèle to be successful.
●Availability of Impressive infrastructure to showcase to the visiting parents and give them a feeling of care and comfort for their kids.
Alliances and Tie ups: If the preschool is tied up with any known primary schools, it will have a sense of continuity in the parents eyes and becomes a marketing tool. Similarly, additional revenues can be generated through other marketing tie ups.
