I believe children should be taught from a young age how to care for animals. How we treat our animals says a lot about us. Itβs about caring for someone beyond ourselves, someone who cannot repay us, and expecting nothing in return. That kind of compassion is a beautiful thing. If we want a safe, secure, loving, and caring nation in the future, we must teach children empathy through kindness to animals. Helping a defenseless creature who has nobody else will nurture empathy, something human beings desperately need. These young people will grow up to be caring leaders, fathers, mothers, and good human beings.
The Bible reminds us: βThe righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.β β Proverbs 12:10
