Welcome to Peach Overlanding. I’m a 29-year-old adventurer from South Africa, and I’m totally obsessed with my Suzuki Jimny JB74.

What started as a simple Jimny build has turned into a beast that laughs in the face of Hiluxes everywhere. I’m a laid-back South African kid with a heart condition, but that doesn’t stop me from living life to the fullest. Whether it’s tackling tough 4×4 trails or exploring the great unknown through overlanding, I’m all about pushing the limits and making every moment count. Adventure isn’t just

a hobby—it’s a way of life. Join me as I navigate the wild terrains, defy the odds, and turn every challenge into a story worth telling. The name Peach comes from Princess Peach in Super Mario, and since my name is Mario, it just fits perfectly. I started this blog to share tips on modifying the Suzuki JB74 for off-roading and to document my adventures with this build. The idea for the blog came when I was searching for information about the Jimny and had to dig through endless forum pages to find what I needed. Now, I aim to make it easier for fellow enthusiasts by putting everything in one place.

Super happy with the set up! We just need to figure out another way of beefing up the transfer case 😥 SJ gearing is just way too high for highway 🛣️ As long as she is a highway driven rig, we have to compromise 🥲

A few issues with the Jimny but that would be expected from a very modified car 🚗 We are having issues with the stupid transfer case chain 😩 SJ gear box conversion seems like a good option right now 👀

Hard to believe it is the same car 🚗

Bought this Jimny with the idea of having a city car that could do some offroading and camping. I never thought I would go this crazy with the mods, but the bug has definitely bitten 🐞

She has gone from a cite overlanding rig to this in under 4 years 😌 There might be other cars in the future but this one is here to stay 🍑 More hard wheeling and more camping to come 🏕️⛺️
