Peach Overlanding Welcome to Peach Overlanding. I’m a 29-year-old adventurer from South Africa, and I’m totally obsessed with my Suzuki Jimny JB74.

What started as a simple Jimny build has turned into a beast that laughs in the face of Hiluxes everywhere. I’m a laid-back South African kid with a heart condition, but that doesn’t stop me from living life to the fullest. Whether it’s tackling tough 4×4 trails or exploring the great unknown through overlanding, I’m all about pushing the limits and making every moment count. Adventure isn’t just

a hobby—it’s a way of life. Join me as I navigate the wild terrains, defy the odds, and turn every challenge into a story worth telling. The name Peach comes from Princess Peach in Super Mario, and since my name is Mario, it just fits perfectly. I started this blog to share tips on modifying the Suzuki JB74 for off-roading and to document my adventures with this build. The idea for the blog came when I was searching for information about the Jimny and had to dig through endless forum pages to find what I needed. Now, I aim to make it easier for fellow enthusiasts by putting everything in one place.

👋 Hey guys! For all the new faces around here, I thought I’d do a little intro to the crew behind Peach Overlanding.

🚙 Meet Peach — my Jimny, the one getting all the mods, scratches, and adventures.

🐶 Then there’s Luigi — the corgi. Passenger princess, snack disposal unit, and professional people-watcher. Honestly, he just came for the snacks.

✌️ And finally, me — Mario. Unpaid mechanic, trip planner, snack buyer, occasional content creator, and professional breaker-of-car-parts. Also a heart transplant survivor who refuses to act normal and instead spends his time breaking, fixing, and taking Peach (and Luigi) on adventures.

Welcome to the chaos. Glad you’re here. 😅

Turns out running big tyres comes at a cost 😅 Peach has been parked up for a while getting some love – fresh transfer case chain + seal, steering gremlins chased out, and a full Des Sol EV1 suspension + radius arms upgrade. Steering feels 👌 now, and she’s ready to hit the trails again. 🛻💨

The little tourer set up might be making a come back 👀 Obviously not pictures would be all the Jerry cans of extra fuel ...
