Then, Paul wrote, citing 'God' at one time, "I will dwell in them; I walk in them. They will be my people, and I will be their God." To 'dwell in' is to 'reside, stay or be in' and, to 'walk in' something is to assume the character of the thing in order for the thing to act the way you do. Does this make sense? 'God' becomes our God because of its dwelling presence in us. If you believe God as something outside you, then God is not 'dwelling' or 'walking' in you. Without the state of being, you can't be in the state. In this scripture, God is not a name but a state in Being. It is what the state in which you choose to be. Therefore, know the state of God first and, when you choose, be aware that God is the Spirit that animates you and makes you to be aware, conscious, and present in your state of choice. I hope this touches your spirit to make the right choice: there's no God outside of you.
