One life matters: following the killing of a customer who was shot for asking for his R10 change by a foreign national (abo my freind) ,in ext 12 Emba, the forum has had enough of foreign nationals' arrogance! The perpetrator has been hidden and not arrested.

All spaza shops have been closed in EMBA & Evander by the forum following a community meeting Raisabi as a reaction to the killing. All shops are closed until further notice...

Kriel Developments Commended: The developments that are happening in Kriel ,Thubelihle,have been Commended and noticed by members of surrounding towns. Nkangala Municipality has worked to improve on its service delivery to improve housing and road works.

A resident of Kinross made an example of the recent stands given to residents of Thubelihle to challenge GMM. "We are still waiting for the stands they promised us in Kinross. We don't want chaos because our names are on the list, look at Thubelihle, we are jealous when we see the developments happening there while we suck our thumbs." Concludes the lady who asked to be ananimous.

From EMBA to Evander to Hollywood? "Lestwalo aka Peaches" is hard at work on his album "Aluta Continua" produced by Embalenhle's legendary pruducer, Franky Nuts. Everybody is taking note of the Talent conveyor belt from GMM.

With so much Talent in our region it makes one wonder why the council is not offering resources to such artists, Kasi2kasi, would like to appeal to the likes of Sasol to assist and offer sponsorships so we can see our townships produce more stars.

Peaches' album is a reflection of Entertainment in EMBA, Secunda, Evander, Bethal, Kinross and the whole region. Tsepo Shomang(real name)will be hoping to be there next big thing following in the footsteps of, Kabza de Small, who also hails from Evander.

Justice for Banele: A male nurse at Evander Hospital was found dead after burning inside his outside room following a night out with his friends.

It is suspected that the fire was a result in an attempt to hide a murder, following a robbery. The deceased friends and neighbours refuse to believe the fire was incidental. Information reaching kasi2kasi is that hours before tragedy, his phone(which was later recovered)was stolen, after the tarven closed he would be dropped off(with his own vehicle)by two of his buddies (suspects).

What later transpired is unclear, However, his car and phone were recovered and one suspect arrested and the other known to be his freind had sustained burnt wounds and has since been discharged from Evander hospital.

All eyes are on Evander police to see if they can deliver justice, uncover the truth and put the matter to bed.

After Kiriyatswane Secondary school students protests made the headlines last week due to a matter relating to a teacher sexually abusing a student, some students along with their criminal friends went on to loot some shops at Embalenhle.

As the school was temporarily closed some of the students were spotted in Evander selling items such as new sneakers, cell phones and other looted items. Other students were seen exchanging items for drugs with Nigerian dealers.

We are following up on the developing story,, it is believed students have returned to school following a meeting between students,parents, community and other stakeholders.

Embalenhle, Standerton and eMzinoni communities are urged to report missing boys who are taken to initiation schools without parental permission. These are hot spots according to police.

Please report to the SAPS if you know or suspect illegal initiation schools in your area.This year (2025)The Mpumalanga department of Co-operative governance, human settlement and traditional affairs (CoGHSTA) received 405 application schools, it approved 403 and rejected 2.

Only a qualified medical practitioner or a trained traditional surgeon who understands the child's cultural and social background may perform circumcision.

An enquiry into the progress of the infamous farm murder has been submitted at Bethal magistrate court. Last year in a Bethal farm, a 35 year old was shot and killed for suspected illegal hunting.

However,the deceased was not alone and his survived freind called the police, who then arrested the 48 year old farmer. Sipho Mahlangu, has contacted Kasi2kasi to assist in getting Justice for his late freind." We can't let killers walk free because they are white, I was shocked to hear that the is a white genocide an allegation by USA president. It brought me to tears because it's also blacks that are killed on white farms. We were just walking through when my friend was shot. No evidence of hunting was found and there is nothing to hunt anyway. Concluded the emotional man.

Upon investigation by Kasi2kasi, we found that the man had been arrested, his firearm confiscated by police but the murder accused had been released on bail.

Justice was delayed for the family and Kinross community of Marikana ext 33, when Sifiso Khumalo's murder case was postponed to June 4 at the Evander magistrate court.

Evander: A mother and 8 year old daughter died on Friday afternoon trying to keep themselves warm with a home made brazer/heater (imbawula)inside their rented room(pictured). "Please avoid imbawula as it emits carbon monoxide, warned the police."

The two bodies were discovered by the landlord and neighbours after the husband/father, who had gone to work came home. He found the two locked in and saw that the key was inside leading to panic ,after breaking the door, a gruesome discovery was made." On Thursday we had no electricity the whole day and were freezing which could have been the catalyst for them to try and keep warm."explained a terrified neighbour who had been friends with the deceased.

Despite the family being Mozambican nationals, the community was sympathetic and were already making donations for funeral arrangements..

"This fire brings bad memories of 2023 where the old mutual building fire which happened in Evander town, fortunately there were no fatalities." concluded another gentleman.
