Cattlemen slaughtering one of their cows that died last week between Embalenhle and Evander grazing grounds. An Estimated 320 cattle died, 40 goats and 10 sheep died due to the cold weather and hypothermia reports the Department of agriculture, land and environmental affairs.

The Oorkante Mini Library in Ext14 has been resourceful to Students from the area who find solace and help with after school homework, assignments and preparation for tests and exams.

Crime is sometimes rife and schools are often broken into and items are stolen especially at the pictured school. Therefore some scholars find the Library useful(in an RDP house). The founder is, Nkosinathi Hleza, a community activist who would appreciate any type of financial help or sponsorship as they incur expenses such as rent. Call Hleza on 079 661 0467

Be Careful when driving to & fromGauteng. A couple staying in Trichard,Terra Nova, were almost hijacked by fake police who wanted their car. They were followed(tracked)from springs and chased all the way to N17 Sasol Garage were the couple think they lost the hijackers.

The couple then drove to the Evander police station and were escorted to their home in Terra Nova by the Police.

MURDER! A psychotic predator(George Sebeloane,21) made his first appearance at the Secunda magistrate court for the murder of seven year old(pictured),Princess Roussouw.

The victim was found buried in a shallow grave on a mielie bush at Syferfontein farm between Embalenhle and Stenderton(part of Lekwa municipality). The grade 1 learner at ,Bonga Niven Combined,will never get her chance to realise her dream of becoming a doctor.

The named suspect led the police (after intorigation)to the buried body after a day and night search by the community for the missing girl. She was last seen playing with her friends.The police deserve credit in this case for their outstanding work. The family and parents of,Princess, continue to morn after Burying their lost daughter on March 14 and will only find satisfaction after the suspect is convicted. This young man is known to the suspect's family and was someone the girl called "uncle". This is a painful lesson to all parents and a wake up call and cruel reminder of the sick predators and murderers roaming around our neighborhoods and communities.

CONMUNITY WARNING: ATM card crime is on the Rise in Secunda, Embalenhle Mall & Evander. Be careful when doing cash Withdrawals and don't seek assistance from strangers. Criminals also have a way of making your card to get stuck when you leave they take out your card and are able to re-enter your card pin and withdraw money from your account.

Try to avoid isolated ATMs and avoid late night withdrawals.

KUBI: Translating, it's bad. The water situation between Rand water and the Govan Mbeki Municipality has landed in court, thanks to Afriforum.

Communities in Bethal,Secunda, Evander, Kinross has been affected by the current water crises. From farmers to the Townships the situation has forced residents to handover a memorandum to officials of the GMM under the leadership of Bethal &Emzinoni communities.

There have been no tangible solutions to water problems such as filling up of boreholes and reservoirs during water outages. People are getting sick and tired of water tanker systems which the elderly can't attend (long queues), fighting in the long queues and a lot of other things that affect people while there's water shortage.The united communities Against water shortage are considering taking the issues to the Human Rights Commission.
