📌📄 Did you know that violence against women and against children are deeply interconnected? They co-occur in the same households, share the same risk factors, and drive an intergenerational cycle of harm in our homes, schools and communities. Our Child Gauge 2025 poster explains the key concepts of the research on this topic, and the most important ways in which South Africa must change its approach to preventing and responding to violence. Our country's programmes, research and policies on violence against women and violence against children have been very separate – with different strategies, terminologies, and lead agencies. This must change in order to break the cycle of intergenerational violence in our homes, schools and communities.
