We are incredibly proud to share some very special news from the Sacambaya Films family!

ThisAbility has been selected as a finalist for the 2026 Inclusive Lens Awards, in the Disability Representation – Scripted Feature category.

Created by Deaf actor and filmmaker Vicki Fourie, ThisAbility was born from a desire to tell a story that challenges the way disability is seen and, most importantly, to put authentic disabled voices at the centre of the story.

This recognition means so much to us because ThisAbility is about more than a film. It is about representation, visibility, dignity, and creating space for disabled people to tell their own stories.

The Inclusive Lens Awards ceremony will take place on 29 October 2026 at CTICC 2 in Cape Town, during FAME Week Africa.

To everyone who helped bring ThisAbility to life — your talent, belief, support and hard work helped make this possible.

ThisAbility is a finalist. And that is something worth celebrating! 🎬✨
