Soweto Mmino wa Clap and Tap Excellence Awards

The 4th Annual Soweto Mmino wa Clap and Tap Excellence Awards will take place at its founding home, Soweto Theatre, for the 2026 edition, where we will have addressed the challenges encountered in 2025.

We reiterate our sincerest apologies to all 2025 award recipients for the delayed distribution of prizes, including cash and trophies.

Regrettably, we experienced unforeseen delays in securing necessary funding; however, we remain confident that we will rectify this situation within the first quarter of 2026. Rest assured, we will not discontinue this initiative under any circumstances.

To our valued supporters since 2022, we urge you to stand with us as we overcome the funding challenges that have affected the Soweto Mmino wa Clap and Tap Excellence Awards initiatives. The 2026 edition will be hosted on the 25th and 26th of July 2026. More details will be communicated in due course.
