PAWS Media, a division of Performing Arts Workshop, is a privately owned business, located in Florida North. We require the services of an energetic, dynamic sales representative who has a proven sales record.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Liaising with customers
• Face-to-face newspaper advertising sales
• Cold calling to generate new business
• Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets
• Participate in and assist with product launches

Experience

• [2+ years] quota-driven sales experience [preferably in newspaper advertising]
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong selling skills
• Computer literacy and strong administrative abilities
• Ability to work successfully both autonomously and as part of a team environment
• Well presented, driven and can think on your feet
Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence essential

President in action ... The editorial team of Hoërskool President High School attended another media studies course on Friday afternoon (08 March), giving them the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about the newspaper industry. This will enable them to release their own school newspaper within the next month. Friday’s focus was on intro and caption writing, and photography. The course is offered by PAWS Media, a division of Performing Arts Workshop.

Terwyl meeste leerders van die Hoërskool President High School reeds die naweek aangedurf het, het die redaksiespan van dié spogskool Vrydagmiddag skouer aan die wiel gesit om nog kennis oor die koerantwese op te bou. Dié kennis gaan hulle in staat gaan stel om binne die volgende maand hul eie publikasie te kan vrystel. Die fokus was Vrydag op onderhoudtegnieke, verskillende skryfstyle en die analisering van inligting. Die kursus word aangebied deur PAWS Media, 'n afdeling van Performing Arts Workshop.

President in action .... About 60 grade 10, 11 and 12 pupils of Hoërskool President High School attended an introductory media studies course on Tuesday afternoon, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about the newspaper industry. Layout Artist/ Graphic Designer

PAWS Media, a division of Performing Arts Workshop, is a privately owned business, located in Florida North. We require the services of an energetic designer to work on various print media publications.

Responsibilities:

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
• Manipulation of photographs to be used in print media publications
• Work closely with the advertising department in creating adverts for clients
• Design and page layout of a number of print media publications
• Must know how to use relevant computer software and generate new images
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites
• Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients and/ or supervisors and making necessary changes

Requirements:

• Proficient in relevant computer software
• Good understanding of print and production processes
• Able to multi-task and show accountability towards targets set
• Able to work independently and under tight schedules
