PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE | LIQUOR SALES RESTRICTIONS

The City of Johannesburg Public Safety MMC, Cllr Dr Mgcini Tshwaku, has directed that on 31 December 2025, all non-compliant liquor outlets must stop alcohol sales by 18:00, while entertainment venues must close by midnight (00:00).

These measures are aimed at ensuring public safety, law and order, and responsible New Year’s celebrations across the city. Residents and businesses are urged to comply.
