In 2021, I had to face the truth: I was stuck.

A broke, out-of-shape college dropout, insecure and defeated.

Now My Top 3 Lessons:

1. Good things aren’t as great as we imagine them to be.

Don’t get me wrong seeing NY for the first time was impressive and I’m super grateful for the experience.
At the same time, that wow moment only lasted a short while before my brain got used to it.
The main takeaway for me is, knowing that my mind naturally heightens the good it will also make the tough times seem worse than in reality.
So having come to that realisation, and knowing that the struggle moves the needle, moving forward, I will do my best to avoid the “tough” things less, and just jump into them.

2. It’s not the place, it’s the people.

You can go the best destination in the world, be in a 7-star accommodation and still be miserable.
I don’t have many friends or people close to me, but the people I have in my inner circle, I truly value.
Travelling with my two business partners for the first is what made the trip what it was.
Looking forward to more adventures with y’all.

3. Progress over perfection.

Travelling, constantly moving, limited equipment and food options, and jet lag, certainly made sticking to the plan more difficult.
The reminder I had was that life isn’t always going to be perfect, and things are going to happen.
The lesson?
Control the controllable.
Show up the best way you can and don’t worry about the rest.
Cause doing something is always better than doing nothing.

☑️ lat pull downs
☑️ machine incline chest press
☑️ machine row (focusing on the stretch of the lats)
☑️ dumbbell chest fly (staying in the bottom half to maximise tension in the stretch)
☑️ finishing off with the ab exercise of your choice

⏰ Pay attention to your tempo. 3 second lowering phase and as far down as possible without feeling discomfort.

An overdue visit back to Dubai.

Short but sweet.

The last few months have been full on grind mode.

With the Bodybuilding competition and continuing the mission and vision of building a health and fitness empire that will impact millions of lives, it was required.

People often ask me: “Dom, don’t you feel like you need more work life balance?”

Maybe, maybe not.

I do often think about this but then I ask myself, in 10 years looking back, what will I be more grateful for? Drinks and football with the boys or that I pushed through and can now impact even more lives and as a result retire my mom?

For me, it’s the later.

But honestly, I love my life. There is nothing more fulfilling than having a purpose, a mission.

I don’t have many friends but I couldn’t be more grateful for the ones I have. I am healthy, wake up with a smile everyday (at least most haha) and I have a loving family.

That said, it was amazing to have change in environment. It allows you to reflect and get new perspectives. Sometimes it’s ok not to be a robot and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Dubai is beautiful in December, great food, tall buildings (a lot of them) and overall great vibes. Definitely worth a visit.
